I haven’t been to La Rev since they renovated and I’m so happy I finally visited again! First off the renovation looks great! The service is top notch and the food is excellent. We had a bunch of items (ceviche, grilled chicken tacos, creamy poblano tacos) and everything was very good. The band was a lot of fun and the energy was positive and upbeat. My only small critique would be the placement of the band and sound system. We were near the front but it was hard to hear a good mix from the band. Didnt see any speakers pointing beyond the front of the house. Also the piano is placed so that the piano player (who last night was the unbelievable Julian Fauth!!) has his back to the crowd. Maybe having the band right at the front so the music project and the piano placed so that the audience can see them would be ideal! Despite this the place is great! Music, food, drinks, service, vibe all A+++!!
Such a cozy gem! Perfect spot to catch up with friends, sip something delicious, and soak in the warm, welcoming energy. The host? An absolute legend — hospitable, kind, and clearly the soul of the space. We just went for drinks this time (spoiler: they hit the spot), but the food is calling my name for round two. Already planning my next visit!

I’m Mexican and I’m frankly disgusted and disappointed… I went to celebrate my birthday and I wanted to support a Mexican place but the only thing I got was mistreatment from the staff and bad food :(
I hope they improve, but I honestly I won’t back to that place 💔

Horrible service, mediocre food and awful atmosphere. We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday at this place and it was a nightmare. One of the worst Mexican restaurants I’ve been to.
After reading the reviews i was a little apprehensive about visiting but im glad i did.
The enchiladas and the burrito we got was amazing - truly authentic. Our server was very attentive even though she had to take care of a bunch of tables herself during a very busy Friday.
Live music and dancing were just an additional plus!

Great venue/vibe, awesome staff and the food was fantastic. Probably one of the best Mexican restaurants in Toronto. And killer Margaritas as well!
Wonderful venue as well for live music.
Friends and family who came out were all very impressed.
Definitely pay them a visit. You will be impressed!
