Hey 👋 I know you can buy La Rocca’s cakes in major grocery stores, but nothing compares to going to their store on Yonge St. The staff are very attentive, and nice. Every special occasion, I come here. Even when there is no special occasion, it’s still the best. They serve cupcakes, cakes, coffee, cards and an assortment of stuff. Fun perks, you can collect points towards free stuff and on your birthday they give you a free cupcake. How awesome is that!

This cake is AMAZING. My husband is strictly a chocolate-cake guy, so when he said this one was fabulous, I knew it was serious 😄

The mix of crunchy and creamy textures in one cake is so good. It’s also a great size..we’ve been eating it for three days now and still going, we can’t finish it.

I hope it doesn’t have a ton of sugar 😅 but honestly, it’s totally worth it as a treat once in a while.

I highly recommend the Original Super Caramel Crunch. And this is coming from someone whose husband usually hates caramel and this is the first time he actually liked it in a cake! 🍰

Requested a simple write up “happy birthday” message on the cake. They stuck a piece of paper on top of the cake and called it a day.

I specifically requested the instruction to write it on the cake.

Always get my cakes from La Rocca in mid town. The cakes are out of the world. One of my absolute favourite is the pistachio. But all the cakes are really good. The girls are always pleasant and professional. It’s my go to for cakes.

Cupcakes were stale. When you pay full price but are given pastries that are 1 to 2 days old, the customer does not go back. EVER!!

INSANELY UNPROFESSIONAL! DO NOT ORDER CAKES FROM HERE! AND RUDE STAFF!

My brother placed an order for a birthday cake with a CLEAR pickup for 6 PM as provided by their own website. La Rocca calls at 3:50 PM saying they close in 10 minutes and expects my brother to drop everything and be there. This is extremely unprofessional and them NOT holding up their end of the agreement. If they are changing their hours to holiday hours, they should have called ahead to change the pickup time DAYS in advance, not 10 MINUTES before they close. My brother was far away and in the middle of something and had to drop his plans and take an uber to their location.

Upon arrival, no apology or anything to make the situation right, and was even given BAD ATTITUDE by certain staff saying “they’re closed” already when they never gave notice beforehand that they would change the pickup time. PLEASE NOTE how it said in THEIR OWN EMAIL that “You don’t need to call to confirm.”

As my brother was picking up the cake, there were other arriving in a rush to pick up as well, so it seems like they did this to multiple people, APPALLING and UNACCEPTABLE.

For anyone ordering cakes STAY AWAY from La Rocca— they are extremely unprofessional and rude and ruined our Christmas plans, very disappointing and do not deserve anyone’s trust for celebrating a special occasion.

La Rocca makes the best strawberry shortcake in the city, hands down! Fresh, light and made with real cream. They also offer a variety of other delicious cakes and pastries along with some gluten-free options as well.
