La Vecchia Restaurant Uptown

What a fantastic lunch! Alessandro was as always, incredible at managing the table. So courteous, skilled, pleasant and attentive! Amazing! The food was absolute delicious and beautifully presented! La Vecchia is my favourite restaurant and never fails to deliver a perfect afternoon or evening!

Nelea is a fantastic server!! She made our evening very special ( I want to adopt her 😉). The meal was great, outstanding mussels ( I will return just for those delicious mollusks), veal scaloppini and beef tenderloin were very good and everyone was lovely and attentive. We love the vibe here and will be returning soon.

I invited some friends from Halifax to try La Vecchia when they were in town last night. They travel a lot and go to many restaurants so I was interested to see what they would think. One friend had the octopus and then the black cod and he loved both dishes. In fact, he said the octopus was the best he had ever had anywhere. My other friend had the eggplant appetizer and then the gnocchi and she was similarly very impressed. I had the gem salad and penne arabiatta and both were great. We had a nice chat with the charming host as well and the server was extremely attentive. The only thing to keep in mind is that it does tend to get a bit noisy in there. Personally I'm fine with this as I feel like it adds some good energy to the experience but if you were looking for a quiet romantic spot this may not be it. Otherwise I highly recommend La Vecchia.

We had the best experience from the moment we arrived! Nick was incredibly friendly and made my friend's 50th birthday so special. The bartender, waitress, and entire staff were warm and welcoming. Everything was perfect—we can't wait to come back again. Thank you for an unforgettable night!

The food was very good, service was a little overbearing for my liking but very attentive. Tables for two are very small and it was a little noisy. We did generally enjoy our dining experience. We would go back but with 4 people for the added space.

Two of us had the pasta special with salmon which was light and flavourful. The veal limon is tasty. One person in our group had a pasta with olive oil, no sauce. It was a bit dry. Bruschetta was fresh and yummy. Tiramisu was delicious as was the blueberry cheesecake with lemon.

Used to work there in the past. Always such a great environment and very positive with respectful staff to accommodate you. Managers always make you feel welcomed into their lovely restaurant.

Great to find a good neighbourhood spot when l visit Toronto. Fab food, amazing service and ambience. Highly recommended!!

From the moment we first walked in, we felt truly welcomed. The staff treat you as if you are friends visiting their home — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The food is always delicious: you can rely on the classics but also discover new dishes every time. We first came here right after arriving in Toronto, and it gave us the rare feeling of being at home in such a big city. Since then, we return several times a month, and every visit has been a positive experience. The atmosphere is cozy, the service outstanding, and the hospitality remarkable. It honestly feels like visiting friends, not just going to a restaurant. A place we highly recommend — definitely worth a visit when in Toronto!

my friend and i had a lovely girls night out.waiter checked up on us often. food was great. my veal piccata could have had more lemon sauce. veggies were delish cooked perfectly. would have preferred the bread to come before the meal but happy food came out fast. much better food and service than our very dissapointing setvice and food when we went in late november for our 36th anniversary. We will come back

La Vecchia is the definition of a "neighbourhood gem". Inviting decor, charming patio, delicious food, and best of all, exceptional service. Staff are professional and attentive but also warm and friendly. Additionally, every time I've been here the manager has checked in to see how we were enjoying our evening. A rare and welcome touch in hospitality these days.

La Vecchia never disappoints. We went for a friend's birthday. He ordered the special veal chop and it was delicious as was their penne alla vodka and pollo savoia. The server and other staff were excellent. We will definitely go back.

This is my favourite destination for special dinners! The food is exceptional. And again, we had absolutely the most outstanding server!
