Laissez Faire is a spectacular spot for brunch, dinner, and cocktails. The menu offers a variety of inspired dishes and drinks that all tie neatly together. Whether you're sipping a fig margarita or a classic espresso martini, the cocktails are served with equally artful presentations. At brunch, the mains featured similar elements that showed the throughline of the menu design while also allowing for enough versatility to satisfy a wide variety of guests. Even more impressively, each item was reasonably priced and portioned, meaning one could return for brunch several times over and have a completely different experience for the same price. Finally, the restaurant's rooftop patio had that nearly impossible balance between elevated and casual. The servers were warm and approachable, busy yet accommodating. Overall, it was such a pleasure to dine here and I look forward to many repeated visits :)

I went with two friends with a reservation on a very hot day and they sat us on the roof initially which surprised me because I assumed reservations were for inside and it says walk in only for rooftop (and it was really hot and there was space inside). They let us move inside downstairs and took a while to take our food order and then didn't bring cutlery or plates when they brought the food and it took almost 10 mins to get a servers attention. Food was very good but service was off

We dined on the rooftop patio and the ambience was great! There was a slight mix up with our entrees but the staff was more than accommodating. Would absolutely come back here again!

honestly was so surprised how poor our night was especially from looking at a lot of positive reviews. was going good at first, hostess was nice&happily accommodated us in moving tables. it was a Wed night so it wasn't that busy, maybe 2-3 other tables plus maybe 6 ppl by that window-side stools&like 2 ppl by the bar. it took so long to even get greeted and when we finally did, no intro, more so “what do you want for drinks” ..i thought we were there for a nice vibe-y dinner not a bar wood in the club. thennn what felt like 15-20 minutes for our drinks to finally come& super sticky to touch/hold. when our third friend came to join, surprise surprise took another decade to get my friend a drink order. THEN when the drink came we get told they're doing last call for food L O L which we were so..appalled by because we would have loved to order a while ago but we felt rush/as if the server was rushing to leave once we said my friends drink order. i didn't even have a chance to breathe and ask if we can order an appetizer but him asking if there's anything else we'd like to order would have been nice too.anyways, since it was last call we obviously ordered our app & entree at once. food finally came&it wasn't hot,&more like warm.. as if it's been sitting on the window for a while. also no one even checked up on us on how were doing /how's the food tasting. we had to waive down to get attention to finally ask for the bill. unfortunately we couldn't even order dessert for my friends birthday since service took forever & a half. was there no staff working? is it cutting labour cost? is it 1 person per floor? if so i think management should reconsider and put AT LEAST 1 bartender & 1 server if the bartender can't handle. but shout out to the bus boy who got us water, that was the fastest service we got from the moment we sat down. i've been also working in the industry for years so it's unfortunate that this was the experience. if i had the heart to not tip i would've not

Great spot on King Street! Best chicken and waffles I've had in a while. Definitely coming back

What a great spot! We arrived in time to take advantage of happy hour ($/ounce wine and good deals on appetizers- I recommend the cheese and charcuterie board). Had the branzino, which was served with a delicious chimmichurri. Tomato gnocchi side dish was a standout. Service was excellent.

Food needs more flavour - the Benedict was a small portion and I didn't like the bread. The traditional breakfast was a good size minus the sausage - maybe replace with something else. Service was really nice and vibe was great music on par. Washrooms doors didn't close properly The staff were attentive and really Kind. The pancakes were a good size however needs more flavour but nice on the skillet

Cozy interior, friendly staff and delicious food! I ordered the caprese avocado toast which was savoury and filling for Sunday Brunch. Will definitely be back to try out their fluffy buttermilk pancakes! Overall, a great spot to dine at!

What a great brunch!! The food was delicious and well-priced, service was impeccable and we were able to have a conversation and understand each other since it was not too loud! I cannot wait to come back🎉

Laissez Faire is such a gem. The food is amazing! The staff is amazing. They are always so friendly and helpful. I've come here for my birthday for the second year in a row. The Nutella French Toast at brunch is chef's kiss. 1000% recommend this place!

Brunch was delicious - the chicken and waffles was so good; the syrup and gravy combo was fun and the gravy was memorable. Portions are good sizes for brunch and reasonably priced as well. Server was very kind and got along well! Good spot for brunch and conversations and great ambience. Will be back soon 😊

Most of their dining room as far as I saw consists of high top tables or you might be seated at the bar.

The food is pretty filling and decent for the price. That was the biggest selling point for me for this restaurant was the value.

I had the Traditional Breakfast. I asked for the eggs over easy and they were more like medium. The sausage had a good amount of spice to it because of the jalapeño. The avocado wasn't the ripest, but was fine anyway. The menu also says that the dish comes with fresh tomatoes but that did not come with my plate.

Service was spotty and it was a bit hard to get the attention of our server at times. I was wondering if they were leaning into the laissez-faire theme of the restaurant.

All in all, was good for the price.
