A lot of us throw around 5 star reviews way too casually, this spot right here.. this is the true definition of a 5 ⭐️ Dining experience.
From the moment you walk in, it feels Chįc, Swanky & a Vibe like you just popped into the latest hot spot on NYC must Dine list.
Combination of an A1 FOH staff with a naughty cocktail list under their arm. Add in Zac & the boys (big S/o to Chef Jay and James) crafting up pure MAGIC in the kitchen makes for pure bliss.
It’s busy everyday, so make a reso’ or be prepared to wait a pinch.. possibly even down the street at Belle Isle.

Came here for our anniversary dinner, and it exceeded my expectations! The service was amazing, the staff made sure to explain each dish before serving it to your table which is a really nice touch. Food came out really quickly, too.
We ordered the Salisbury steak tartare, dark green crunchy fall thing, cheesy toast, and the halibut à la corn dog. Everything was really unique and delicious in terms of seasonal flavors and different textures (Especially the cheesy toast). Can't wait to come again!

This was my second visit to Lake Inez. The first experience was fantastic—I even wondered why they didn’t have a star. This time, though, was a disappointment. The food was very average, lacking the depth and flavour I remembered. The service, too, felt rushed and impersonal. Although they told me there was a two-hour seating limit right before sitting. they brought the bill around the one-hour mark, even though my wife still had more than half her drink left and I didn’t ask for the bill. It felt as though they were more interested in turning tables than in creating an enjoyable dining experience.

Love the vibes here. Service was great, but the highlight is the food. I got the autumn pasta and it was amazing, so creamy and flavorful. A bit pricey for portion size though but I would get it again it’s so good
Went for dinner with my wife. The decor was cool and probably the best part about this place. The food is fusion style and expensive for what you get. This place is supposed to be an institution in the area, but the food fell short of great.

Hidden gem near The Beaches - tapas style dishes (not sure how frequent the menu changes so best to check on their website or Instagram)

Came for the mystery menu, ended up with cheeks that hurt and a tongue that was satisfied.
With that being said, the laughs are great the food and wine pairings are great and the service is definitely attentive

I did not feel like this restaurant was anything special. The salad I got was basically just a very regular salad I could make at home / you could get at a fast food place. The only difference is it was in a small portion. The cocktails were also super average and small. The food wasn’t even presented super well. I get that some places have small portions and that’s the reality of dining today, but when I pay for something small and pricey I’m hoping to get good flavours. The fact that the salad was very mid and $21 was not really a great experience. The other dishes we got were the same level of quality, small but not impressive. Was not very satisfied with this and would not go back.

Made reservations for Lake Inez a few weeks ago after hearing great things about the food. The initial feeling of the restaurant and the details of the creative menu writing are great.
But overall, maybe tonight is an off night for the kitchen with the seasons changing as 3/4 of the plates felt unbalanced or underseasoned, such as the tartar and the halibut. The 4 cocktails that we tried I would only order the Lagavulin cocktail again and found the Lycee one very one note and the other 2 okay.
The service was also strange, as the timing of dishes left laege gaps in between courses. Our server also ordered the wrong dish for us and, even after correcting, was still billed for this item error. We did not notice the mistake originally and have a very awkward fix.
Overall, the evening was fine, but left annoyed.

Went here for a birthday celebration with a party of three, for their transition summer-fall menu. We ordered the wagyu beef tartare, tomato sourdough, potato octopus, corn breaded halibut, and the ribs and cucumber ranch.
Everything was "ok", but nothing really stood out as being spectacular. Dishes were 19-34$, and were all quite small.
The beef tartare was disappointing, it reminded me like I was eating a deconstructed, cold, Jamaican beef patty from Kennedy Station - definitely very Toronto.
The tomato sourdough was raved by most of the staff, but considering the simplicity of the ingredients, we didn't feel like it was good value, at 19$ for two slices of toast. The sourdough was so tough and crunchy, it cut the inside of mouth.
The octopus portion was quite small and came out warm, and I wish the potatoes were crispier. Halibut had a nice plum sauce and breading, but definitely didn't taste unique. The ribs and ranch leaned a little too strong into the harissa for my personal taste, when I think I would have preferred less sauce to allow the barbecue flavours to be tasted.
The service was a bit cold, the waitress checked in on us maybe 4x over the course of 2.5H. Dishes all came one at a time, instead of all at once (but maybe we needed to request that)? We also waited almost half an hour to get asked if we were ready to pay the bill. Restaurant is also loud and dim, it's hard to talk and difficult to really see or admire the food.
Honestly, I had really high hopes for this place, and I had heard so many good things. They do have great vegetarian substitutes for everything, and an extensive wine and beer menu, and ample street parking around the area. The restaurant has got a very cool aesthetic and decor on the interior though, as well. So it's a good vibe if you're just going for drinks.
Maybe you might get lucky with their rotating menu of seasonal ingredients. However considering the execution of the cooking, I don't think I'll be returning or recommending sadly.

Potions are small and for sharing, so you’ll have to order much more than expected if you plan on filling your belly.
