very tasty ethiopian fare - first time trying it in toronto. very generous portions, and well spiced dishes. injera is a little less tangy/sour than what i’m used to, but definitely still solid nonetheless.

I always like to recommend Ethiopian food to visitors to Toronto. This restaurant is authentic and even though I'm not much of a coffee drinker, the coffee ceremony is special and I enjoy the accompanying popcorn with the coffee. I would recommend getting a large platter for a small group to share, and ask for additional injera bread.

This restaurant is a must-try. We ordered the Meat Combo, and every item was seasoned to perfection. The service was polite and exceptionally warm, making us feel right at home. A definite highlight for anyone dining in Toronto.

No. 1 spot for Friday date night dinner. Try the platter with fish goulash. Everything is delicious, actually

The biggest win was the atmosphere and the vibe. The food could have been better, I have had much better Ethiopian food at other places and was a bit disappointed with them. The service also was a bit slow for a weekday. Had higher expectations given the ratings and the awards this place had won but was let down.

Came to this restaurant from the recommendation of my friend and really enjoyed the unique experience. We ordered the coffee ceremony and the server came by with the cooked coffee beans for us to smell while we ate. We were served the coffee after our meal along with popcorn to snack on. There was frankincense burning as well on the same tray for our coffee. When I had kitfo in the past, it did not have cardamom but Lalibela added cardamom and I loved it. All of us loved everything we were served.

Experience real Ethiopian hospitality at Lalibela. A variety of veg and non veg dishes and gluten free breads are worth the visit. The spices enhance authentic dishes slow cooked and served on platter.

The meat platter is sooooo good, I really like the veggie platter too.

Go on an empty stomach as the portions are big.
