Delicious tea and friendly store owner!
been coming here for years and it's easily the best tea shop in Toronto, the price and quality is unbeatable outside of Hong Kong
Best place in the GTA to buy quality, bulk Chinese teas at reasonable prices.
We first found this place before the pandemic in 2019, and recently visited again last weekend. Quality is still the same, and while they no longer offer in-store shopping, the lady working in the store was so patient and helpful when I was ordering outside of the shop through their mic system.
We particularly enjoy their Emei Mao Feng green tea.
If you want to order outside the shop but can’t read or speak Chinese, I would highly recommend using their online menu and showing them which tea you would like through the window - this made the ordering process easier for both of us.
Would highly recommend, and will be back after we run out!
Awesome tea shop, they have a wide variety of Chinese tea and availability and consistency of the tea is reliable. I’ve been coming here and ordering online since I’ve moved out of Toronto for the last 6 years, customer service is good if you order online and there’s any questions or issues with your order she will contact you to sort them out and not just make you wait. The entire time I’ve bought the same tea (4lb of superior yunnan black tea) and sampled others they’ve suggested and have never been disappointed. The tea is always packaged nicely and vacuumed sealed if you buy in bulk or request it. Pricing is very reasonable as well especially compared to places such as David’s tea.
I bought half a pound (227 grams) of Maofeng green tea last Saturday (May 11). When I got home and weighed it, including the packaging, the gross weight was only 224 grams. I have visited this tea shop in the past during the COVID-19 epidemic, and the portions were also insufficient. Integrity is the foundation of doing business, and sufficient scale is the guarantee of confidence. I hope businesses can improve.I bought half a pound (227 grams) of green tea last Saturday but when double checked at home, with the intact package and label, the gross weight was only 224 grams. I bought tea at the store three years ago during COVID and it was underweight as well. Hope the store can correct and be honest to customers, and be accurate on the net weight of the product.-------- Reply to the owner:Thanks to the response from the owner below.... my point is not the 3 grams short weight, but the package weight of the aluminum - aclar package bag: by estimation, the bag can weigh from 15 to 25 grams, which can extend the short weight to 28 grams (one once) in total, and the percentage of short weight for half pound is 1 / 8 =13%. I can bright the intact tea package I bought to your store, and we can both reweigh and confirm the net weight and total shortage, and be compensated accordingly.
I drove an hour out here to buy tea in person, to be turned away and told to go online. I don't know anything about tea or what I'm buying online so I won't bother. This was a total disappointment and waste of time...
High quality tea shop with knowledgeable staff. A must go-to spot for tea enthusiasts.
In store shopping unavailable.
The jasmine tea I got today was very good :) The lady running the store helped me get the teas that I wanted through the window which was very wholesome. Fantastic place, very big selection of teas.
When you refuse to open the door for a person of color and then give attitude.....never in my life.

Visited this store for the first time today and I can safely say it’s a hidden gem. The store offers just the right amount of tea varieties to not confuse one. Was pleasantly surprised to see them selling teas almost at wholesale rates after having paid way more at many of the “boutique” tea stores in downtown Toronto. I’ll be coming here again.
This is the best Chinese tea shop in Toronto. They have a great variety of green, white, black and puer tea and it’s the best value you can get.I have been going here for years and my favourites are big red robe (grand scarlet robe on their website), dragon well and peony white tea.If you don’t know what tea you want, you can also ask the lady there for advice, she is friendly and helpful.
This store is very good. In recent years, I have been buying tea at his house
Very traditional Hong Kong style tea shop. Customer service was fantastic and the owner is very knowledgeable in tea. Tea quality was amazing and reasonably priced. Our favourite tea is their signature in-house dark roasted baoshan tieguanyin. Lau Sun Mou is definitely one of the best traditional tea shops in Canada!
Good quality and prices
