Food - the steak dish is one of the best that I've had. It is succulent, flavourful, and I did not feel overly heavy after the meal. I tried my friend's roasted duck breast and it was not bad but it was a little dry. The dessert options change from time to time but I've always found them to be impeccable.
Service - the waitress we had was informative, funny and a pleasure to have. Sometimes the service is a little slow.
Atmosphere - the seats get uncomfortable after sitting on them for a while. It would be great if the restaurant could add cushions.

I took my girlfriend for her birthday last night and it was amazing! I was looking for good restaurants downtown area and i stumbled on this one that caught my eye. And wow was the food so good. We both had steak frites and they did not disappoint, with a creme brulee as dessert. If you speak french as well its great because they speak it so lovely, and it helps if your girlfriend cant speak it so you can order a candle for her creme brulee without her knowing which they were happy to help me with! Would recommend to anyone to try this place

The only French thing about this restaurant was the bad attitude.

We made a reservation before for a table of three, but when we arrive me and my friends weren’t able to eat that much so we decided to order just 2 main courses for sharing. But when we decide to order, the waiter kept on saying that we must order at least 2 courses each since the table is reserved. But in the reservation page they didn’t mentioned that there is a minimum spend for each table. And the waiter also had a bad attitude since we enter the restaurant.

What a hugely disappointing meal. The quality of the food was extremely lacking both in the questionable cuts of meat and flavour of the dishes.
Calamari starter was very bland and under seasoned. The calamari itself had a very odd texture too it that was off putting.
The steak main course was possibly the worst steak I’ve ever had. My medium rare steak came out more medium well/well done, however I can’t fault the chefs as the steak was 0.5cm thick and it would be impossible to properly cook that. I had no idea you could even have a steak so thin. It was further smothered in a very overbearing onion gravy, while the steak itself lacked a crust or seasoning.
Highlight of the night was the pear tart dessert which was very good.
Final tip for the wait staff is please avoid using vinegar based cleaners around your diners. Wiping down a neighboring table with white vinegar is off putting while guests are trying to eat

Editing my review since they wanted feedback- The food quality was surprisingly sub-par. Steak is extremely thin. The chocolate cake was dry and crispy on the outside as though it had been reheated many times. You could hear the disappointment from both tables on either side of me, equally surprised with the meal. The French diners were far more vocal about their disappointment and I suppose that’s the way to go otherwise you’re met with passive aggression. “C’est la vie”. ?

We recently dined at this charming French restaurant and were instantly taken by the warm, cozy ambiance inside. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed evening, with dim lighting and elegant touches that made it feel both intimate and welcoming.
We opted for the two-part menu, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The calamari appetizer was the highlight of the first course—perfectly tender, and paired with a truly delicious sauce. It was a great start to what became a truly memorable meal.
For the main course, we went with the duck confit and steak frites, and it was simply unforgettable. The confit was the favourite - skin was golden and crispy, while the meat was rich, tender, and full of flavor. Every bite was decadent, balanced with the right amount of seasoning, and made even better with its sides, which perfectly complemented the dish. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after you’ve left the table.
The prices were surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the care that went into every dish. We were more than satisfied with both the experience and the value. We’ll definitely be coming back for another round of that duck confit!
