Came here for date night on a Saturday and honestly this might be the best mid-range French spot in the city. Leagues better than Milou which is just a short walk away. The portions are decent, the food is cooked great and you can tell a lot of thought went into the menu. The price was good considering the quality of the food being served. Our waiter was French and accommodating but chilled out in the way we liked. Got the salad and salmon for appetiser, the steak frites and duck (the carrot mash is the perfect accompaniment) as an entree, and the chocolate mousse and peach tart for dessert. We will definitely be returning! No notes, can't go wrong here.

Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in the city. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants, but this one really stands out. The attention to detail in both food and service was incredible. We made a reservation and were seated right on time, greeted by a friendly server who explained the menu clearly. We tried several dishes to share — the flatbread appetizer, the duck breast, and a seafood pasta — and every single one was delicious. The chef clearly knows what they’re doing, and the presentation was as impressive as the taste. The vibe is welcoming and warm — great lighting, clean decor, and comfortable seating. This restaurant absolutely deserves all the praise it gets.

Le Baratin is a true gem. We had a wonderful evening there and I'm still thinking about the food. The magret de canard was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. It was the highlight of our meal. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu.

You definitely need to try it!

A hidden gem that feels like a little island of France. The cozy atmosphere and quiet ambiance make it perfect for a relaxed evening. You can see a glimpse of the kitchen, which adds a special charm. The chef’s menu and rotating specials offer something unique - and everything we tried was simply unforgettable.

We came specifically to try the steak, and it truly melted in our mouths. The salad with warm goat cheese was delicious, and the dressing had a beautifully sharp, balanced flavor. For dessert, we had a peach tart with ice cream - a perfect finish to an incredible meal.

Staff are attentive and genuinely care if you’re satisfied. They even offered to remake the steak if it wasn’t cooked to our preference.

This is a truly respectable establishment - highly recommended for anyone who loves excellent food and thoughtful service.

The duck was delicious, but I tried my boyfriend’s steak fries and that was the best dish, super tender and the sauce was amazing. I got the salad as the appetizer and the dressing was perfectly tangy, great texture with bacon and walnuts, so unexpectedly mind blowing! Peach tart with ice cream was good but didn’t blow me away. Highly recommend the two course meal, will definitely be back!

Excellent ! At least a true French restaurant....like in France. The salade was perfect (right size, french recipe, fresh ingredients). The service was great also, professional and friendly. I really enjoyed the experience and will come back again.

Really bad experience. Asked to sit for drink and they denied. Second later they accepted people who were WHITE. After denying us and saying there’s no tables available…. Crazy. Nothing was said about reservations and the people who sat said they didn’t make one

I had the best vegetarian Lasagna and chickpea fries of my life! Me & my partner were running late by 10 min for our dinner reservation at Le Baratin, but the staff is so nice & generous enough to accommodate us even though the kitchen was closing.

We were the last one to leave the restaurant but they never rushed us and made sure that we enjoy our dinner date.

This would be our go to spot now for more dinner dates!
