Nice coffee. The almond croissant is really tasty. It’s the best in the city.
The boy staff is cute ☺️

Nice selection of French pastries and some light sandwiches. Good latte. Enjoyed the patio area to sit outside.

I love this place, excellent jambon-beurre and coffee. Giving it four stars because they don’t offer any to-stay options for drinks. Some nice ceramic mugs or glasses would be nice for coffee!

I stopped by today to try the almond croissant. At first glance, it looked a bit overbaked to me (I understand almond croissants are baked twice, so I expected some of that). When I went to pay, I was surprised to be charged $7.91 for it. it seemed quite pricey, but I figured it must be exceptional.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t. From the first bite, I noticed an overwhelming amount of butter. I understand that butter is essential in French baking, but this felt excessive. The croissant was, in fact, overbaked, and the flavor just didn’t come together for me. It was too sweet, too greasy, and lacked the almond flavor I was hoping for. The almond filling tasted more like butter than almonds, which was disappointing.

I couldn’t finish it, and for nearly $8, I expected a lot more. Sadly, I won’t be coming back for an overpriced croissant that doesn’t deliver on what it promises.

Sourdough bread was to the point. I was there around 8:30 and baguette needed a half hour wait. I didn’t try pastries but the look of them had a lot to say about their taste. Staff were nice and welcoming. They had a good variety of wines and kitchen stuff. I really enjoyed their flat white the micro foam had a perfect consistency. In general happy to have them in the neighborhood.

2 times I attempted to get a croissant here, and experienced the worst (!) customer service! Both times I wasn't able to get a croissant. Today, I was told they were sold out but they had freshly made smaller ones behind the counter. When I asked about those, I was told they were using them for their sandwiches. I offered to pay full price for 2, one for me and a friend, and was told 'no'. I could go on about this experience, however I'll just say do not waste your time or energy here! They are clueless on customer service. Tasso Bakery has the best croissants in Toronto or Le Genie.

When you see the owner standing outside smoking and then walking in bringing the stench of cigarettes into a bakery, it's immediately offputting. you must do better. while you may not be handling the food, you are certainly a representative of a bakery and quality is everything. please do better. I walked out on instant.
