The service and atmosphere were top notch. Lacking was the food and price. High price food which made the mediocre quality seem worse.

Came here for weekend brunch. Restaurant was quite busy. Classic European decor but the old wooden chair I sat on was wobbly. Service was fine, no complaints.French onion soup was hot and cheesy. There was a good amount of croutons, maybe too much, as there wasn’t much soup. Onions were caramelized well. Beef tartare was seasoned well. Liked the dijon, egg yolk, and truffle aioli. The baguette pieces could be bigger as we had tartar left over.Enjoyed the sausage and thick cut bacon on the Petit Dejeuner. Scrambled eggs were a nice texture but lacked seasoning. The potatoes were boring and lacked flavour. They ran out of smoked salmon for the eggs benedict. The substitute was shredded salmon that tasted like it was canned. The potatoes were once again boring and flavourless. Will not be returning to try dinner.

I visited Le Select Bistro for the first time in 8 years and it didn’t disappoint. The waiters that served me and my friend was very attentive and the food while a bit in the pricey side, was delicious. The portions were also great. I ended up having to carry some of it back home.

Can’t ever go back. The new owners simply don’t have the values that are important to me.

Went for brunch with my family. The vibe felt like we were in Paris and the food was amazing! The escargot and the crème brûlée were soooo delish! Brunch menu had lots of selection and decently priced.

My fiance and I were treated like royalty, every dish and drink we had was outstanding and the wine list was extensive with lots of great options across many price points. Can't wait to come back!

When here for a date night with my dad and I had a lovely time the sommelier was very knowledgable and very helpful, we loved the wine! The apps were very good we had the escargot and tartar, both were good. We shared the lamb rump and the steak frites. I would not recommend the lamb as it was very very chewy and gamey. The steak frites was a classic and was done well. over all the food was nothing to rave about. I think Maison Selby would be a far better option in terms of French cuisine.

This place I've seen reviewed by others so decided to give it a try for an old school french Bistro vibe. We went for lunch and it was fairly empty, our server was sooooo amazing and attentive. She explained everything, took our jackets, gave recommendations and did not give any snobby vibes. The setting, just like others said, has a Moulin Rouge feeling with the old school red booths, artwork from several years ago.It could use a bit more of a revamp in my opinion. The food, the duck confit was so crispy, juicy, fatty. The fries were a very generous portion, but tasted like McDonald's fries. Duck was the highlight. My husband got the burger, was ok he reported but the bread was a freshly baked brioche bun.The latte was also average and not amazing compare to other coffee shopsThey gave two complimentary sables with chocolate which was a nice touch since we didn't want to order dessert and it was a special occasion.

Maitre d was incredibly inviting upon entering this restaurant. A very classic intimate atmosphere. Decor including several posters of classic films, of course all were in French. The wait staff was complementary of the welcome we received when we came in. Very knowledgeable of the menu, the source of the entrees we were interested in and offered recommendations on how we could spend our short time in Toronto, as this was our first visit. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for an intimate, delicious restaurant with food deserving of an audience no matter the time of day. Thank you to everyone we interacted with during our visit. Your kindness as well as the food was five star!
