This restaurant’s absolut-LEE delish <33

Breakdown of all the dishes we tried:

The Singapore Slaw is genuinely a top tier salad!! The portion was not small either LOL I was actually quite full after this dish alone! Best thing we tried!

The lobster dumplings were extremely mediocre I’d definitely skip on them…

The peking duck was super crispy and the toppings were all delicious minus the mustard (it tasted a bit odd with the other ingredients ngl)

The braised beef was super tender and came with the best butter mash potatoes omg

Definitely recommend coming here and you won’t leave hungry!

Only downside is the restaurant isn’t connected to the underground parking lot so be prepared to be outdoors LOL!

I came to Lee’s to celebrate my birthday and the service and the food was incredible! Our servers name was Grey and we were blown away by the attention to detail and the all the check ins throughout the night. When we got there it was a little chaotic to get seated but as soon as we sat down and met Grey everything was perfect! Grey ensured that we were relaxed, taking things slow, enjoying our meals and just having a great time. As a vegetarian the food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was also great and our server definitely made the experience a 10/10 as well! Thank you so much Grey, we look forward to coming back!! I would highly recommended this place!

I had not been to Lee in probably over 15 years and it is just as delicious and innovative as ever. I can see why it has such longevity in Toronto’s competitive restaurant scene.

And congrats on the gorgeous new location at the Waterworks Building.

It was a perfect meal! We loved all dishes, which was an unusual feat for us. The kitchen was very accommodating to our dietary preferences of low sodium & low fat. The scallops and braised beef were so tender they would melt in your mouth. The shrimp cheung fun and lobster dumplings were done perfectly. The Singapore Slaw was a sight to behold, though we would have liked to see and taste more greens; currently, there seemed to be an overwhelming amount of crunchy ingredients. The three desserts we tried were all delectable. Chef Lee put a creative and delicious twist to the traditional tong yuen. While tasty, the sesame creme brûlée could have used more black sesame to add some color to it. The most urgent change in our opinion is the dinner plate. It’s too small and too narrow, making it very awkward to handle. We were also disappointed with the Lunar New Year special, a strange combination of lobster, chicken, and fois gras that didn’t sound very appetizing. We hope to see a dish of steamed fish added to the menu when we return. The decor of the restaurant is tasteful, but the restrooms are tiny, especially the sinks, and don’t seem to be wheel-chair accessible. Great service in general.

Very good food and attentive service. I just wish seating limit was adjusted as I went on Family Day so it wasn’t busy.

Don’t go here unless you want a rushed meal.

We just left 30 minutes ago after driving in from Aurora (it took me an hour to get there) for my birthday. I made this reservation months in advance. We were really excited because this is possibly the best food we’ve ever had.

Our reservation was at 5:15 p.m., and they seated us a few minutes early. We even ordered drinks before our reservation time officially started (despite the two-hour seating limit). Our server, “Dip,” immediately began rushing us to order our entrées.

Instead of properly informing us at the beginning of the evening about the two-hour limit and making our stay comfortable, especially knowing we were there to celebrate my birthday, he made it clear we were on the clock. We wanted to sit, relax, and enjoy our evening within the two-hour limit. However, because we didn’t order our appetizers and entrées immediately, his demeanor instantly changed. He didn’t mention that we still had nearly two full hours. Instead, he said, “We have another reservation.”

I explained that we wanted to start with appetizers, then order entrées, and finish with dessert. He again emphasized — not once, but twice — that we would need to speed up the evening.

At that point, we finished our drinks and asked for the bill.

The manager came over and seemed apologetic, but it was too late. The entire evening was ruined. Offering to comp one inexpensive cocktail and a club soda, along with promising “better” service from a different server and no time limit, wasn’t going to fix the experience.

Go somewhere less pretentious.

P.S. This place is WAY too aggressive about pushing their “slaw,” especially if it’s your first time there. The first time we came, our server tried to sell it to us four times — and then even suggested a half portion on the fifth attempt.

I have always wanted to try this place since I'm a fan of Lee. My husband finally surprised me to take me here on Feb 13, for Valentines! He made reservations right as they open 5pm. We were the first ones there but the resturant filled up quick in the next hour. You can check your coat in which was great, felt really fancy.

Our server was super great, very nice and really knowledgable.

The food was really good! Some were a lot better than others. Everything labeled Signature was good. Their famous Singapore Style Slaw was REALLY good, a MUST try for first timers. Tasted light, but also had a lot of flavor, super crunchy which I love. And their Luckee Spicy Shrimp Cheung Fun was really good, I love shrimp so maybe I'm biased but there is a lot of shrimp flavor and crunchy bits. Has a good amount of heat to it too, not too spicy. We also got the Chicken Bao, Asian Slow Braised Beef and All Time Favorite Dessert. All these were okay, not our favorites. For the bao it just wasn't worth it for the price and we prefer braised meat like beef or pork belly. The bacon in it was a bit weird or much. The Asian Slow Brasied Beef has some flavors we didn't like as well but it was just our preference. It wasn't bad. I wanted to try majority of the desserts so that's why we got the All Time Favorite (getting 4 different desserts), I prefer mostly light asian flavored desserts but these were more on the french side and heavy in flavor. My favorite one I guess was the warm thai coconut rice mango tart with jackfruit, did not taste at all how it sounds.

Overall great experience! It is expensive but once in awhile, ordering the right things makes it worth!

We visited the new location and it was a beautiful place. We tried the signature tuna salad which was a bit big for 2 but it was very good. We tried the beef and duck too, but I think the duck is way better. It is similar to perking duck but more fusion. We came here because of the renowned chef Lee, and we were not disappointed. We spent around $400 for 2 so it is more of a high end dinner experience.

Fabulous. Food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. Erica was our server and she did a great job. We appreciated that she kept us from over ordering which would have resulted in a lower rating.

Outstanding food and service. Honestly, as I paid the bill and prepared to depart I thought to myself... “what a fabulous experience” !!
