On a little tour of the market on a cool, windy Monday. Needed a warm up, happy we picked Lekker. Nice Americano and an amazing Lekker dessert waffle to sooth a sweet tooth. Light fluffy waffle with banana, whip cream, ice cream and chocolate sauce. Definitely a place to return to on our next trip to the city.

They're not Belgium style waffles (which are dense and have a nice crisp on the exterior of the batter). They are typical American style waffles (too fluffy, not crisp and the waffle batter doesn't have flavour, the only flavour comes from the toppings). When asked, even the server acknowledged "Oh, it's like a Canadian take on Belgium waffles" LOL.
