Classic Fish and Chips shop that has a long history in the city. The GF ordered the Monday special (Halibut and Chips). I ordered just the code (no chips). We split the chips; hence, why the chip serving looks skimpy in the accompanying photo. The fish was excellent; the texture of the batter was what you expect from a classic fish and chips shop; a taste and finish you really can't get at a restaurant the doesn't specialize in fish and chip. Do yourself a favour and save you fish and chip meal for a place like this establishment. The next time I go I'll have the Halibut as I felt the cod was not meaty enough. Most important the chips are exceptional.
Parking: Street parking is free after 18:00 (6:00 PM).

Not impressed, food tasted like it was reheated a few times. Coleslaw tasted old. Maybe end of night food.

Ordered halibut and chips. Halibut is missing, came with Chips. Is this a joke Len Duckworth.
This place e ys way too over rated and too expensive for what you get
Fish was good but chips were not crisp or flavourful - really lacking. Quality and taste is far below that of British style fish n chips on coxwell. This will not be back
Restaurantji Recommends
Best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life. The halibut is firm and flavorful. Of course they fry using beef tallow and that makes all the difference. Halibut is getting to be expensive but it’s totally worth it.

I've gone to this family run location that's been in business since just after the depression and has stayed in business because they have the best fish and chips on the planet! I've been going there for over 40 years and I'm absolutely obsessed! Highly recommend ?
