The food overall was good, not exceptional, but definitely enjoyable.
While our main server, a fellow South Asian woman, was absolutely wonderful and made us feel very welcomed, we unfortunately had a disappointing interaction with another server.
We were waiting to place our mains and politely asked a nearby server (who wasn’t ours) if she could take our order or assist us. Her response was unexpectedly abrupt and dismissive, simply stating that she wasn’t our server.
It wasn’t about whether she could take our order, it was more about the tone and the lack of courtesy in how it was communicated. A more thoughtful or helpful approach, like offering to notify our server, would have made a big difference.
As patrons, especially in a city as diverse as Toronto, we expect to be treated with equal respect, regardless of background. That interaction felt alienating and left a sour note on an otherwise pleasant experience.
That said, other members of the team (including our server) were professional, warm, and attentive, which we truly appreciated.
I hope this feedback helps the restaurant continue to offer a welcoming and inclusive experience for all guests.

Wow, would not recommend. The food quality was very low, everything tasting as if it came from the Costco frozen food selection (which would be awesome if I was paying Costco prices). The jumbo shrimp was a bit over fried and the accompanying sauce tasted like it was from a jar. The tikka chicken wrap was overly salty; I knew it was going to be served on Naan, but was still expecting something resembling a wrap (with more than runny curry in it). We paid extra for sweet potato fries; got a very small portion that were also over fried and too chunky. One of the most unenjoyable meals experienced in a long time. Note: The server was great; when she saw how much we left behind, she proactively offered a (small) discount. However, it was not enough to save the meal, nor was the patio's atmosphere.

would not recommend this place. My friend ordered a steak medium well and it arrived rare. When she asked them to cook it more they brought another steak which was also very undercooked. I ordered a salad and it honestly just tasted like maple syrup. I assume they used it in the dressing and just put way too much in it. All my friends tried it and agreed it just tasted like syrup. The service was also just ok. The ingredients in the salad were so simple, it was definitely not worth the money

I had high expectations for this place but it was disappointing. Ordered YAM fries, and got SWEET POTATO fries instead. Ordered Caesar salad, waitress asked if we were ok with bacon, we said yes. Only to have our salads served without bacon because they ran out of it. Ordered shrimp and lobster ravioli, got 2-3 shrimps, and the pasta sauce was bland. Definitely not coming back.

The food was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the fries, buffalo wings, chicken tender, pasta.. Chef Faysal was amazing as well; I believe he prepared our meal and later came to ask us how we liked the food. Receiving service directly from the chef is a wonderful experience.

It is a very attractive restaurant on the street that catches your attention while driving, so I had to try it. Loved the vibe for sure. The pasta was delicious. Overall a nice place to have a nice evening.
Possibly one of the friendliest bartenders I've met. She let me sample 3 beers before I picked one and she was super honestly and open about the beer choices!!

I really wanted to like this place because of the lovely patio and the friendly waitress, but the food has been consistently disappointing every time I’ve visited.
The first time, I ordered the jambalaya, and it was far too spicy for my taste. On my second visit, I tried the fish tacos, and to my surprise, they weren’t made with whole pieces of fish. Instead, it was just bits and crumbs of fish covered in a heavy coating. It felt like they chopped up whatever leftover fish didn’t make it into the fish and chips and threw it into the tacos—40% fish and 60% coating.
The last time I went, I ordered a burger, and the beef patty tasted like it came straight from the frozen meat aisle at the supermarket. It was dry, hard, and just plain sad.
If I ever come back, it’ll only be for drinks and fries.

Ive found that this restaurant has recently taken a fall in the quality of their food. Last night, my food was served far too salty and downright burnt. This spot has been a classic for my family, for a couple of years now, but the kitchen staff needs some improvement. That being said, the overall atmosphere of the Lighthouse is wonderful and unmatched. Right in the heart of Kingston, this place takes a special place in my heart. The floor staff at the restaurant are unbelievably friendly, welcoming, and warm hearted, and always have the charm to make the entire family crack a smile. Overall this is an excellent spot with affordable dining options, however the kitchen staff could definitely use some improvement.
