Was told by a bartender (lots of tattoos, a lanky guy) that no alcohol was being served at 130 am, on a busy weekend, and saw that 4 other tables all left as well. We later realized that the staff just wanted to close and finish up.Owner, if you are reading this, you are losing lots of money and profit, on account of your staff prematurely closing.

Unbelievably slow service in this bar. They spen a tremendous amount of time to craft cocktails at premium prices, but in an effort to actually get a drink in under 20 minutes I ordered a can of beer. After almost 20 minutes of not getting a beer I approached the bartender to be told that they are out of that particular beer…—and it is now after last call so we cannot give you anything. Brutal customer service at premium prices

Checked out this spot before dinner in the restaurant upstairs and was pleasantly surprised. The spot was not busy around 7 but it seems to get busier later so I would recommend making reservations. It’s a cozy spot for delicious cocktails and the bar service was friendly too. Tried the spice and everything nice as well as the jasmine milk tea punch which were fantastic. They played great music too. Would recommend!

Just a correction for the Pisco-Tini cocktail, El Gobernador pisco is Chilean, of the Miguel Torres brand. Why they say “Peruvian elegance” ?

Was very excited to try this place after reading all the reviews but I have to say I wasn’t impressed at all.From the moment we walked in, the staff weren’t welcoming at all. Super slow service. One waitress came and poured us water but then disappeared…. We were seating for more than 20 minutes just for someone to come and get our orderWe finally ordered our drink to the actual bartender who was passing by… but no one was there to get us a secondThe atmosphere was good, the drink was good, but the service ruined everything! It was the worst I ever experienced.I never felt this much unnoticed in a bar… after a drink, we decided to leave since no one came to get our order for the second round…We asked for the bill. But the waitress was laughing and hanging our with the bartender instead of getting our bill. She delivered other people’s drinks and explained what was in their drink (something nobody did for us, they just put the drink on the table and left, not even a simple “enjoy”) and ignored us for another 30 minutes!!! I had to actually walk up to remind her of the bill but still took her another 10 minutes to bring it.Overall, will not visit again. The service was absolutely terrible and I never had this experience at any other bar/restaurant in Toronto!There are much better bars with better staff were you at least feel welcome. Don’t waste your time… the staff clearly don’t know what a cocktail bar is when they are not even around to take your second order of drinks, no apology, no manners, just terrible service…
The vibe you need! Drinks… Amazing! Snacks…Amazing! Everything else… Amazing! Seriously you need Liquid Courage in your life if you don’t already! Stop reading book your reservation, start running! This place is a must!

Hidden bar, you need to enter Mother Tongue first. Nice atmosphere and groovy playlist.Interesting menu with some Asian influences. I went with a dealer's choice cocktail. Miso hummus & chips came cold ?

The bar is hidden below mother tongue. Not easy to find, small space with limited seats. But speakeasy and special cocktails to order( though the choices are limited). All in all, it is a place worth going with friends. Highly recommend the Jasmine milk tea punch.
