I used to really enjoy the Japanese style, desserts and drinks from this cafe. They used to offer delicious and unique creations like earl gray panna cotta or matcha tiramisu. I understand that items may change over the years due to demand, however, it seems that the new owners have completely abandoned the quality and original concept behind Little Pebbles, hence I have no reason to return to what was once my favorite cafe in Kensington.

In recent years the ownership has changed and as a result, the quality of the products has completely declined with many of my favorite products not even being available anymore. The croissants are stale and few of the baked goods taste fresh. Instead of appealing to quality or taste, it seems that the owners have decided to appeal to social media based on aesthetic appeal and what is trending. While the interior is still as aesthetic as ever, I regret that the food, which is typically my only factor in a review, has nothing redeeming left to it.

The last time I ordered I was very disappointed and I will not be coming back.

This is a 10/10 and would 100% recommend to anyone. So kind and delicious. Prices are very good for the level of deliciousness and the craftsmanship. You need to try next time you are in the Kensington market area!!

A Hidden Gem in Kensington Market: A Cozy Café That Charms with Simplicity and Flavor

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Kensington Market, this quaint little café is exactly the kind of discovery that makes wandering Toronto’s eclectic neighborhoods worthwhile. From the moment you step in, the atmosphere welcomes you with a calm, artsy energy that feels both intimate and Instagram-worthy—ideal for a quiet solo coffee break or a casual catch-up with a friend. Every corner of the café is thoughtfully designed, with cozy décor and natural lighting that makes it irresistible not to snap a few photos. The food display near the counter is particularly eye-catching, creating an inviting, almost rustic impression that reflects the charm of the place.

We sampled a modest selection from their menu to get a feel for both their beverage and food offerings. The strawberry matcha was an instant highlight. A delicate balance of earthy matcha and subtly sweet strawberry syrup, the drink was not overpowering, allowing both flavors to shine through in harmony. Served chilled with a gentle swirl of colors, it was refreshing and visually delightful—a beverage that checks both the taste and aesthetic boxes.

The regular cappuccino, while competently prepared, didn’t stand out in the same way. It was smooth, with a decent foam-to-milk ratio, but lacked the boldness or depth you might expect from a café that prides itself on curated experiences. That said, it did the job if you’re simply looking for a straightforward caffeine fix.

What truly impressed was the everything bagel paired with sun-dried tomato cream cheese. The bagel was baked to perfection—crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside. The cream cheese was thoughtfully seasoned, with the sun-dried tomato lending a rich, tangy note that wasn’t overpowering. The texture was spot-on: neither too runny nor too dense, making it easy to spread and deeply satisfying with every bite. The contrast of warm, fresh bread with cool, flavorful spread made it a surprisingly memorable part of the visit.

Another delightful touch: the café offers freshly baked bagels for sale, allowing patrons to take a bit of the experience home with them. It’s a smart and comforting gesture that adds a local, homey feel to the overall offering.

In summary, while not every element was groundbreaking, the overall experience was filled with warmth, intention, and small delights that elevate a simple café visit into something a bit more special. If you find yourself in Kensington Market and are craving something cozy, photogenic, and quietly enjoyable—this spot deserves a stop.

The strawberry croissant was soo good, the pastry was flaky and fresh, and the whipped cream inside was perfectly sweet. The biscoff caramel latte was also delicious and included a generous amount of toppings.

All of the staff were super friendly and helpful, I’ll definitely be returning :)

Delicious matcha! And they also sell Dubai chocolate at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend!

I went for the croissant inspired by the Dubai chocolate bar that went viral. Tadi was, in one word, awful. The worst I ever spent was $7. The croissant was very dry and tasteless. It was filled with only kadayif and peanut butter, but the store said it also contained chocolate.

I was milling about Kensington market and found this gem accidentally. I wanted a coffee but the pastries really caught my eye.
Opted to try the Kunefe croissant. Possibly the best croissant of any flavor I have ever had. The pastry was layered, with a flakey crust. The filling was nutty, not overly sweet with a good crunch from the toasted pistachio. The birds nest on top was light and super crispy. The texture as you bite into it and chew is super satisfying.
Try this. You won't regret it.
Note - I visited during November so no patio. Inside the cafe is intimate.

Tried this place for the viral crookie, and it tasted good but didn't live up to the hype I was expecting. We also got a macaroon, a latte, and a seasonal lemonade drink. Customer service is amazing!

Note: parking is difficult here, and there aren't as many seatings available.

Black sesame croissant was both dry and tasteless! Absolutely do not recommend. The cream had almost no flavour. And don't even ask me how it's possible to make a filled croissant dry. Maybe the other flavours are better and they taste okay when they are fresh but croissants should not really be eaten after a day or so. I got the last one of its flavour and who knows how long it had been languishing there!

Sesame cake was okay but the honey lemon matcha was great!

Their quality has gone down and it doesn’t feel as fresh.

Hoping things change with their baked goods soon. Drinks are great!
