A neighbourhood gem. Would recommend this to anyone looking for great food and friendly staff.

We were here for an early meal. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. We had already heard about the legendary Crispy Brussels Sprouts appetizer and we were not disappointed. A very nice jalapeño honey glaze with toasted pecan. A very subtle touch of heat. A MUST try! We also enjoyed the wood fired Prosciutto Parma Arugula pizza. Excellent crust and very tasty. A decent selection of wines reasonably priced. The Mrs had a Spiced Tea cocktail that was featured and enjoyed. We are looking forward to coming back. Perfect for a date.

My initial impression was not very high but the manager quickly turned it around. I appreciate the attention to detail and warm hospitality. The food and drink recommendations were spot-on. I recommend reserving ahead of time to avoid long waits.

This place is A MUST try! Our server was fantastic. Very entertaining and friendly person! Sadly we didn't get his name. My friend and I really loved this place! The foods were A-MAZING! We had Brussel Sprouts for starters and Funghi pizza to share. Both of ‘em are just exploding with flavours! Their Brussel sprouts are to die for! I don't know if we're just small eaters, but their servings are good for 2-3 persons in my opinion. We'll definitely come back here and bring our other friends!

Celebrated New Years Eve and it was wonderful. The staff was amazing and really made the night for my family and I. Complimentary Proseco was a nice touch.

We had a lovely time at Local 1794, deciding on it for an early NYE date night. The ambiance was festive and tasteful, and the playlist mix of disco and top 40 hits was a delight. The restaurant had a NYE-themed menu for $75, but we decided on the regular menu. My husband had the pesto penne while I opted for the lamb shank: the portions were generous and I knew my lamb shank had properly stewed when it came right off the bone! The flavour was incredible! The only downside to the evening was waiting 40 minutes before we had our appetizer and drinks order taken, and a full hour before we could order our mains. But our server was the best surprise of the night: kind, jovial, funny, and they treated us like family! It was a great way to end the last day of 2025.

We dined at Local 1794 to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. The restaurant was very busy so we were initially seated at a smaller high top table. But our server, Kyle, knew it was a special occasion for us so moved us to a booth. We really appreciated that. We both enjoyed margarita pizzas that were cooked to perfection and delicious. We love this place!

Amazing service, delicious food, very fair for the portion sizes pricing and an all around fantastic night out. Definitely recommend giving them a try.

I went on Saturday night for drinks and dinner. I'd been years ago when I used to work in East York but hadn't been back in a while. It seems it has become a neighbourhood local. I had the passionfruit mojito to start - delicious! My friend and I shared the vegetarian meatballs; the tomato sauce was sweet and tangy and also a little spicy. We also shared the pear & goat cheese salad which was very nice. My friend had their pizza (which seemed to be a popular item as lots of people were ordering) and I had the mac & cheese. It came to the table still bubbling :). The service was great and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back.

The food, service and ambience were all excellent! The disappointment is the wine list, not one Italian wine by the glass and a bottle of Chianti not even a reserve for $100.00 while their website says it is $70.00, a bit of a rip off. Grahame King
