Good food, cool space, excellent staff. Have been multiple times and will continue returning. If you drink alcohol, there is a fantastic selection of drinks.

My husband and I wanted a relaxed dinner without getting all fancy dressed and we had gone to this spot for drinks once before, months ago. All of the food around us looked so delicious but we had already had dinner. So when we were looking for a casual spot last minute , I thought of this place. I’m so glad I made the mental note. The food was delicious! We had to wait a little for a table , which is totally understandable on a Friday night ,, no reso, but we were kindly assured by a couple of servers that we would be seated quickly and we were. We were taken care of by several people and the wine was great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars on food is because of the shucking of the oysters, although they were very tasty they had a lot of shell , the mignonette, however was one of the best in the city , and the carrot cake … I’m picky . It’s a very comfortable atmosphere and will be our go-to in our neighbourhood. Absolutely a must try.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would. Went with a friend. The food was disappointing—flavourless and overpriced. My salad had a terrible odor from rotten pears, and the burger I ordered afterward was equally unimpressive. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience.
Edit: A restaurant's response to customer concerns is a telling indicator of their service quality. Unfortunately, I experienced a lack of empathy and understanding from this establishment, which raises concerns about their commitment to customer satisfaction. I advise caution when considering dining here.

I have always loved this pub as part of the neighbourhood. But today I had horrible service, and brought my mom with me for the first time. We sat down, ordered some drinks, 30min pass and no one brought our drinks. I asked the server “how long for the drinks?”. She looked surprised and still did not bring our drinks. We stood up and left the pub very disappointed. Everyone else got their drinks around us, that even arrived after.

Brussel sprouts were delicious! Unfortunately the burger just tasted like a frozen burger from Costco would definitely not recommend. Fries were good! Wings were good as well as the esspresso martini.

Have been to Local 1794 several times with friends, family and colleagues and never been disappointed. Really feels like my local. The staff are friendly and most accommodating. The food is tasty and menu options pretty good. Cocktails are pretty great too!
Vegetarian options: There are quite a few veggie options
Parking: Parking is a bit tricky and even more so when the Toronto Cafe is set up. May be some side street parking and a small Green P lot just east of Coxwell Ave. and west of the restaurant on Danforth Ave.
Kid-friendliness: Staff are very accommodating with menu options for toddlers despite there being no official kids menu. Booster chairs are readily available upon request.

We tried the Canadian Pizza... of course the one in São Paulo is much better.... starting with the menu, they only have 5 flavors... . Small, expensive pizza with very little toppings....
