We dined at Local 1794 to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. The restaurant was very busy so we were initially seated at a smaller high top table. But our server, Kyle, knew it was a special occasion for us so moved us to a booth. We really appreciated that. We both enjoyed margarita pizzas that were cooked to perfection and delicious. We love this place!
I went on Saturday night for drinks and dinner. I'd been years ago when I used to work in East York but hadn't been back in a while. It seems it has become a neighbourhood local. I had the passionfruit mojito to start - delicious! My friend and I shared the vegetarian meatballs; the tomato sauce was sweet and tangy and also a little spicy. The food, service and ambience were all excellent! The disappointment is the wine list, not one Italian wine by the glass and a bottle of Chianti not even a reserve for $100.00 while their website says it is $70.00, a bit of a rip off. Grahame King
