Went here on my quest for lox’s and this is my favourite so far. They smoke the salmon themselves and you can tell. Their bagels also come out so warm and soft, it is the most calming feeling eating them. They do the basics perfectly. And one big thing to mention is the atmosphere and seating of the place is so good and chill, making it perfect to study in. Such a good bagel, must go to if you like smoked salmon. Also servers/bakers/cookers/owners banter is very fun to listen to. The lox/og gets a 9.3/10, best so far, and the atmosphere of the place helps a lot.

This is some of the best smoked salmon I’ve ever had (I’ve tried many different types). The flavour is strong and it’s fresh, never frozen. Love the ingredient combos - pickled red onions, cucumbers, capers, fresh dill. The hot smoked trout fillet is so fresh and soft (unlike frozen ones) and the trout salad is crunchy and delicious with some bread or crackers. I also enjoy the salmon hand pie — chicken pot pie vibes but with salmon. The products can be pricey but I think it’s worth it for the quality.
The owner is warm and welcoming as are their other staff.

I have Celiac and a dairy allergy and love their alternative options. The vegan cream cheese was amazing and the gf bagel so good. I also watched how the food was handled and felt comfortable even though I’m very sensitive. The plate was labeled df/gf which is a nice flag that suggested to me they were intentional and kept my allergies top of mind while prepping the order. I had a way better than average experience and most importantly loved the bagel. Even though I live a little far I still try and find ways to make it to get a bagel on the weekends.

Truly the best lox in the city. I love all their food (bagels, lox, tuna salad, coleslaw, baked goods, soup) - everything is absolutely delicious! The staff are friendly, funny and helpful. Our toddler loves lox because of this place. Sure, you could get (bad) bagels and frozen lox at the grocery store, or you could show a local small business some love and shop here!

Friday January 30,2026 Sadly really not into this place or food at all. No acknowledgment upon entering despite having called two minutes prior to my arrival. Wouldn’t look at me even when I came to the register with two bags of chips. The two employees were immersed in conversation for another customer about current happenings. The restaurant was empty aside from a couple at the back and the lights all off though it was 45 minutes to close. The pumpernickel bagel was I guess okay. They microwaved it and didn’t use gloves. Didn’t see hand washing either. They apparently don’t have tomato “due to not being in season” (why is it on menu then ?!) … yet I don’t recall this being the season for cucumber and alfalfa sprouts and such either considering it is January in Canada. I went here due to them advertising “vegan cream cheese” and was greatly misled. It’s not vegan cream cheese, and even worse is I even called ahead to ask about this. after I paid for the overpriced bagel and “cream cheese” with cucumber salt and pepper they then tell me it’s a mixture of cashew cream and garlic. I had already said I can’t do garlic due to food sensitivity and already being incredibly nauseous. Why wouldn’t this have been said before paying and even offering to show me what it looked like as once I Opened the bagel it was clearly just a mashed garlic spread. Two people working here and an empty store aside from a couple at the back and they both couldn’t speak up? Bagel was moved from numerous surfaces without a plate or protection causing cross contamination. Sadly it went to the trash, waste of money, time and I had been fasting for over 24 hours due to a hospital visit so this just added to the disappointment :( go to am bagel on roncessvales instead where they have gryfes and proper vegan cream cheese and tomato. Additionally, charging 2.29 for a can of pop is robbery.

Stumbled upon another gem here! Solid bagels with amazing lox. Very warm and friendly service too. Got the fancy fancy bagel and although the bagel is on the smaller side considering a nearly $20 price, it does excel in the fish and toppings. This shop goes on my bagel Mt. Rushmore! I highly recommend giving them a visit.

Delicious! Staff were super sweet and Lev’s bagel was the perfect balance of savoury and spicy. Overheard the staff tell another customer about their gluten-free and dairy-free/vegan options as well, they have something for everyone!
Can't wait to go back to this place! The bagels were awesome and super fresh! Staff were very welcoming and energetic even though it was busy and in the final hours of their operation. The place was also very clean and cozy! Would definitely recommend!

The smoked fish is excellent and hand-sliced to perfection. I love the variety of flavours and topping options. When we order sandwiches in the shop, my boys are especially fond of asking for crunchy dill pickle chips - something the owner and chef Lev taught them :)

Everything we’ve tried here has been fantastic. The sandwiches, the trout spread, and the baked goods are phenomenal!! It’s super family friendly and we love taking our baby because there’s always a high chair available and the staff are so sweet.
