Heritage Large Eggs the Packing House
The packing house inc. Has paired with dr. Steven Lees on from Guelph university to develop a non-gmo feed program for the hens raised by Mennonites in St. Jacobs Country. They use a variety of grasses, fermented grains, as well as dried and ground grubs. This gives the hens a well-balanced feed that promote a higher fat content and darker yolks on the Roche Colour f an. This in turn affects the flavour-giving packing house eggs a deeply rich flavour. The hens are a mix of breeds that lay lots of different colours. You may find brown, speckled, pink, and even green eggs in your dozen! The hens are also given access to the outdoors when the weather permits (Ontario winters can be rough for everyone, birds alike!), and are graded at a local facility. The hens themselves are raised hormone and antibiotic-free, from three family farms.

Great sausage rolls and great chocolate chip oatmeal cookies! Made by hand and the service was lovely, by friendly folks who clearly love what they're doing. You have to pay for premium ingredients and the time it's made with care, so be forewarned it's not cheap, but it's worth it for a treat!

This location helped cater a baptism celebration for 80 people and it was so delicious. The large portions of pastries and cookies were able to be halved, really making the treats go far. The supervisor, Valerie, was so helpful in choosing a variety of their desserts to display that appealed to everyone. Amazing service

I’ve always walked by this bakery/cafe as I work in the area and I’ve been wanting to try it. I came in today (Oct19/24) at around 11am for an iced latte but didn’t have my heart set on any specific flavour, so I asked the barista what she recommends. She said ‘pumpkin, salted caramel, and vanilla with cinnamon’. I got my iced latte as a triple with these syrup inclusions and it came out to $7.05 WITH 20% tip. The little conversations I had with both baristas were lovely...
