I feel like this is an establishment similar to an Earl's except Asian style with a Taiwanese focus, in the sense that it's a casual, reasonably-priced place with a humongous menu - a variety of food options are available, and will probably have something to satisfy everyone in a group.
I've been here a few times, from a number of years back and also recently, and the food has always been good but not mindblowing (as it should be); prices are just-so-slightly pricey for the amount you get considering neighbouring options, but well as i said the quality is good.
The service is fine enough, smartphone ordering is nice given the menu size. Decor hasn't changed I feel since i've started coming here, everything is clean, but I think the TV is on its way out.
Location is excellent being on Yonge, just across the TTC station, and within reasonable walking distance of U of T.
Not really a fancy place for an occasion, but an excellent spot for a meal with friends, and good too for a quick bite solo. My guess is that the student crowd at U of T love this place.

We got N1 and N2 and they were equally bad. The 3 vegetables and the egg on the dishes were cold and there was barely any meat- the angus was 70% bones and 30% meat! Very disappointing! If I could go back in time I would save myself the $50 and not get two overpriced bowels of rice with a touch of meat. Service was a lot not good- you order over your phone which is somewhat common, but we were given no napkins as well? Way better places to eat in the area with better value for your money.

Absolutely love Mabu Generation! Their ramen is delicious—rich, flavorful, and always satisfying. The staff give genuinely great advice on what to order, especially if you’re trying ramen for the first time or want to try something new. On top of that, the prices are very affordable, which makes it even better. Amazing quality, great service, and cheap eats—highly recommend! 🍜

Terrible. We went the first time and the service was great and the food was delicious. Went again the next week and the service was awful, they ignored you. They didn't give you utensils. It was strange and the food was absolutely awful, super greasy there was a hair in my daughter's bubble tea that absolutely came from the kitchen because bubble tea came sealed. I just will never go back.

We got sukiyaki hotpot and pork belly rice. Pork belly was really good, the rice is just your normal rice. The hotpot wasn't really good, the ingredients are pretty cheap although the broth is ok. Prices are downtown prices for what we ordered, no more, no less.
Cannot recommend sukiyaki hotpot. Would come again to try other dishes though, service was great.

Cannot have enough of the sizzling hot plate with beef and cheese. The hot pot was still a little more spicy than our taste even though we ordered less spicy. I hope we can come back soon with my family to try out the desert fountain.

Our server , Ringo, did an excellent job making sure we got taken care of ! The manager, monica , greeted us personally and made sure we have everything that we need ❤️ . Shayne , too was going around making sure every guest is accommodated.

The customer service is so friendly and helpful. I ordered the hot and sour soup thinking I could handle it, but it was unfortunately too spicy for me, so I asked if they could drain the spicy broth and I could still try to finish it since it was my mistake. They then offered to replace my whole dish with a non spicy dish. Thank you so much Mabu team for making sure I was satisfied with my meal. I really appreciate it :)

The moment I walked in, I felt like I was transported to a whole different world. The food was incredible! Each dish felt like it told a story that matched the restaurant’s beautiful interior. Loved the Chicken Cutlet the most. The Pork Belly deserves a shoutout for its amazing quality and SOFTNESS. Huge thanks to Jarvis and Nathan for accommodating and serving us so well. Had a blast at Mabu thanks to them!
