Waitron was terrific and the food was good. Sweet change of pace from reflective surfaces of so called fancier places.
We had a wonderful experience at his local Pub! The management was courteous and helpful, found us seats right away and provided excellent service. Bartender was super friendly and efficient . Food was outstanding. Best plant based burger I've had in years!! Oh and the French fries!!!! đ±
Ordered a drink at the bar and the machine was given without a tip option which is unusual for a bar. I ordered another drink and this time with a different bartender and there was an option to tip when paying and the drink was cheaper before tip. So pretty sure the first time their bartender just selected the tip already. I always tip anyway but maybe the first time, she assumed i wasnât going to tip.

This place stinks like body odour and the crowd is uncomfortable. If youâre a single girl avoid this place, the security also supports the touchy behaviour.
Tori deserves so much credit! She sorted my and my group out so well we had an incredible night

itâs sad that i have to leave this but my experience was just so unbelievable that i have to leave a review. itâs a shame too since the food was pretty good especially with great prices and good atmosphere. i came for a special event so i knew it was going to be busy as it was sold out. i expected slow service times and was not complaining because i am a server and i know exactly what its like. even if service is bad i still always tip well, and its also a pub so im not expecting anything above and beyond. but how i was treated last night was unacceptable especially from a customer service POV. first off, our table didnât have a menu so we kindly asked a server for one and they told us to go find one ourselves. like what? do i work here or you? why would i know where YOUR menus are. second of all, our table didnât ask for anything except one refill, and 45 mins had past and i still didnât get one. but maybe she forgot it happens no biggie so i just let another server (white brunette with claw clip in her hair) know that we were just waiting on a refill. she then proceeded to give me sm attitude and told me âif you asked ur server for a refill then youâll get one đâ who talks to a person like that let alone a customer. this is the first time in my life where i didnât want to leave a tip but it was auto grat and also we were only a 3 top so it didnât really make sense but i donât care to argue. that girl does not enjoy her job nor is she good at it. im more offended as a server than as a customer because 99% of the time the customer is wrong but wow ive never in my life received service this rude.

I was at Madison Pub and had a very disappointing experience. I was waiting in line for a small order when someone behind me got served first. When I started to order, the bartender told me to wait but in a rude and impatient way. I understand if staff are busy, but thereâs no excuse for being disrespectful to customers. Definitely not the service I expected.

The Madison (or âMaddyâ as most call it) is enormous â basically two old frat houses stitched together and transformed into a sprawling pub, bar, and rooftop patio. The place is like a lively maze, with countless rooms, bars, and staircases that make every visit feel like an adventure. You might even get lost exploring, but thatâs part of the charm. The rooftop bar and restaurant add to the variety, making the Maddy a one-of-a-kind spot in Torontoâs nightlife scene where thereâs always a new corner to discover.
That said, the biggest downside here is without question the security. Iâve been four times, and almost every time Iâve seen security in some sort of physical fight with people in line. Once inside, the presence is hit-or-miss - some rooms feel like they have decent coverage, while others seem to have none at all. The security staff donât even look like proper staff - most wear no real uniforms, and some honestly look like international students who just bought cheap vests off Amazon. It doesnât inspire confidence, and it creates a pretty sketchy vibe at the door.
Entry is usually free, which is great for students, but it also shows. The interior is dated and could use renovations badly. The crowd is overwhelmingly younger, mostly university students in their early 20s, which probably explains the free entry.
Honestly, I think charging a small cover fee would help improve things - it could go toward renovations and, more importantly, hiring professional security that actually knows how to manage a venue of this size.
Overall: The Madison is a Toronto staple and can be fun if you want a cheap, chaotic night with friends in a massive venue. But donât expect a polished place - this is basically a student house party on steroids, just with more staircases, rooms and rooftop drinks.

I celebrated my birthday here in the afternoon yesterday and had the best time. Great place hangout and just chill, Matthew, our server was pretty much the only server at that time and literally made us feel like a priority while pretty much managing everything else. Incredible service Matthew fr made my birthday a lot memorable.

Must-visit if you like pubs. The layout of the house is maze-like and really fascinating, and each room plays a different kind of music, creating a different atmosphere. The people there were very friendly, and the menu items were also not overpriced. Best of all, entry is free!
