Everything was so delish, and the service was beyond lovely

Their desserts are really good; however, not as good and authentic as the original MADO in Istanbul, Turkey. Also, their prices are really high. A single serving of desserts is in the 15-20 CAD range.

I'm Turkish. I know how Turkish food should be. This place is a shame to give customers days old baklava and Turkish tea.
Don't bother guys..

My favourite place in Türkiye, just out of curiosity I went twice, once speaking Turkish, once only in English.

The difference in service is absurd, and I understand why non of my non-Turkish friends have a good experience here.

Sad that this is the Canadian representation of such an amazing Turkish cafe, I’ll stick to going to the one up north, or in Istanbul only.

Great food, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. Mado is one of the best spots in Toronto for authentic Turkish dishes!

We love the restaurant itself, its convenient location, and the large and beautiful selection of food and desserts. Our grip is that the food we ordered was sort of just ok. The wrap was delicious and fresh as were the sides, but wasn't really worth ordering out for the price in our opinion. The fried chicken sandwich was unimpressive if you're into chicken sandwiches, unfortunately. The baklava was good, but again, we felt just ok compared with other ones in the city.

I'd still come back for a social lunch because the food is fresh and the atmosphere is nice. I just wish the food had just been more impressive.

On a last note, a point they can maybe consider, is that the service wasn't great. Our server lacked awareness, warmth, and some degree or common sense.

We dined at Mado today! The experience turned sour at the end despite the quality of the sweet baklava’s we had!
The server told us we “Had to Tip 15%” for a table of 6 and that well in my opinion is ok as long as it’s told to the costumer as soon as the step foot in the restaurant and not when you are seated!

At the end when we payed the bill she said “ by the way the tip was only … this much which is extremely rude because tipping is a gesture of kindness from the costumer towards the server to thank them for their patience with them and their behaviour! It shouldn’t be forced and disrespected because it’s lower than what they BELIEVE is the right amount!

Over all the quality of the baklava was great and I do want to mention that, but I believe that at least the attitude of the server that served us was not respectful and or pleasant!!!
