Had a brunch for the first time there a week ago. Amazing food, really delicious! I also had a Mocha and it was the best I had so far in Toronto!

Forget a Michelin recommendation, this place doesn’t even deserve the 3stars I gave it. Food has become substandard, so is the service. It was good while it was new and they probably had enthusiasm for the place. Now the staff is barely doing its job (bother chefs and servers alike).

Prices for food are charged as if something fresh/premium is served while what you get is mediocre. Egga is one of the most disappointing omelette I have ever seen. Bastuma Scramble barely made it. The only saving grace was Cairo special.

Atmosphere - they make people sit next to a utility pipeline where you can constantly smell gas. Upon requesting a move they just ignore it. They have all these plants/pots around which invite bees and all sorts of insects that fly into your food and face while you are eating. Disgrace of a place. Save yourself the trouble.

Cute cafe on an unassuming street, be prepared to wait in a line outside as there’s no waitlist so you can’t leave the line. Even on a Friday at 2pm there was still a ~30 min wait for a table for two. There’s a little bit of seating for people waiting outside.

Food was pretty decent and service was friendly, notable mentions were the rice pudding which isn’t on the menu and the lentil soup.

Maha's Branch is a cute little spot that's absolutely worth a visit. It's the kind of place that feels both cozy and vibrant, with an atmosphere that's as warm as the food is delicious.
Specializing in Egyptian cuisine, every dish is packed with authentic flavors. While there might sometimes be a long line, the wait is a testament to how good the food is. I highly recommend trying the desserts and, if you're feeling adventurous, the pear juice. And for all the coffee lovers out there, the Turkish coffee is hands down the best around.
If the weather's nice, try to grab one of the outdoor tables to enjoy the lively street view. Just a heads up, parking can be a bit tricky since it's limited to the street, but it's well worth the effort.
Maha's Branch is a true gem and a definite go-to for anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining experience.

Such a great place to have brunch! Exquisite and chill atmosphere for the mellow millennial. The staff were great and the food was delicious.

Pharaoh's Po Boy is a definite must-have. A lot of the food on their menu looked great, and I wish I had the stomach to try everything I wanted to, but I will have to come back here again to try out everything else, especially the feteer!

Worth it in my opinion. Be warned, as parking may be a bit tricky, and it's first-come, first-served!

The food at Maha’s was amazing. I had the Po’ Boy sandwich with a side of Egyptian falafel eggs and a hibiscus drink, and everything was seriously delicious. The sandwich was packed with flavor, the falafel eggs were crispy and unique, and the hibiscus drink was refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. The kitchen knows what they’re doing.

Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food. I was seated right in the middle of the restaurant but felt completely ignored. No one came to check on me, no one cleared my empty plates, and I had to wave someone down just to place my order. It was a strange experience, especially since the place wasn’t even that busy.

When it came time to pay, I didn’t leave a tip because there really wasn’t any service to speak of. That’s when the mood shifted. Suddenly someone was clearing everything from my table like they couldn’t wait to get me out of there. It felt pretty uncomfortable.

I’ll be back for the food, no question, but next time I’ll probably just do takeout.

We ordered falafel egg breakfast, bastırma scrambled egg and a mocha. Mocha came after we finished our food. And we noticed that there was two table who came before us served after we finish our meal... Food was okay not the best thing we try. Atmosphere was so good I can understand it's a saturday and busy we were ok to wait but managing the tables was not good. Overall this is the first and last time for us

You need to go to the main door to line up. We went there for brunch on Friday and it was quite busy just before 11 am, but we didn’t wait long. It would be nice if they took your name. They seem to have lots of seating inside and they have a cute shaded patio. I tried the Cairo classic. The falafel was so good. Moist inside and crispy outside. While you have your first bite, the flavors keep coming as you savour it. Love the sesame on top. I really liked the charred balady bread and salata balady. I think I would have preferred to have more of the salata balady as it adds nice freshness to the meal. My hazelnut latte was good. My friend enjoyed his basturma scramble and Turkish coffee. They have high chairs. Will come back to try more items from their menu. Service was efficient.
