Went for the first time on a busy Saturday for brunch. Setting is unique and food was incredible. We didn't even notice but I guess the manager felt like the food took too long so they comped our entire meal. The service was always attentive anyway and we got drinks in between. Highly recommend. They have high standards for service and honor that.

We had a great dinner! The food was excellent, and our server was wonderful. The service was attentive without being too much. The ambiance was really cosy and the rooms are beautiful. The food was delicious and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Terrible experience on Valentine’s Day. We had a reservation at 7pm and did not get seated until 7:45. Nobody came up to us to apologize or offer anything. My husband had to ask what was going on and what they would do for us for the inconvenience! Then, we finally get seated, and the service is extremely slow and the food was not good. For 130 per person, we had way higher expectations. Everything was bland, the duck was so tough, my husband struggled to cut through it. Our server was very nice, not her fault at all, but service was so slow. We got empty wine glasses placed down and our drinks still took another 10-15 mins to arrive after that. Very disappointing. We saw many people waiting for their reservations when we arrived, and another group of unhappy people waiting when we finally left.

The food tasted pretty good but the service was extremely slow. We started at 7:45 and finished the last course at almost 11.

The price for value was bad. We paid more than $370 for two persons, but not getting the expectations on this price at all. They just charge the surplus for Valentine’s Day I guess.

vinny.

Can’t think of anything nice to say, If I could rate a restaurant 0 stars I would. My partner and I felt invisible and the food was underwhelming. And if you think that’s the worst part, we had to take the rest of the food to go because the service and wait time was ridiculous.

My wife and I visited Maison Selby for Valentines dinner where there's a parking lot right across the street. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The wine list was limited and expensive. Average $30 for 8 oz. We had 1 glass each. There was an option for Prix Fix $130 or al-a carte. I ordered baked oyster and we both had salad and mains. The oyster, only 1, was slightly delayed in arriving and the server didn't know which of us ordered it. The salads were further delayed (15 minutes) although they were very tasty. The kitchen is downstairs. This may have contributed to the slow service as I noticed a number of servers coming and going with only 1 plate. When the mains finally arrived, the server didn't know who ordered what. We agreed, we thought the further delay was to encourage us to order more wine. My wife's duck breast was perfectly cooked and my fish was delicious. Both salads and mains were good portions. All 3 rooms on the main floor were full, again contributing to the slow service. Our bill totaled $225 + tip. Overall, I'd rate this 3 our of 5 and we're not interested in going back.

Refused to serve us food despite serving multiple drinks. Only told us at the venue and after us purchasing drinks. Will be submitting formal complaint to AGCO.

Fantastic winterlicious lunch experience.

If you like to dine in a well appointed room, large mirror over the fireplace and just a cosy spot, come done here.

Service upon entering and serving staff very friendly, and helpful with the menu options.

Now the food.
Mushroom tart was a ok pastry centre they was surrounded by tasty and flavorful mushroom.

Personally, I like beef not with all the fat associated with some cuts. This flank steak is very flavourful and tender that came medium rare as requested and the sauce was not overwhelming (as some times it is just too creamy and salry.. but not here ..this is a great steak. And the curly and crispy fries... Very very good and glad there was a lot of fries.

Dessert was a wonderful, milk cheese, slight firm and not overly salty that was accompanied by a slight honey drizzle....so so good.

Good fine dining experience. Portions are a bit smaller than expected but otherwise still tasty and worth it for the price—as long as you don't make it a weekly thing.

We left feeling rather disappointed after what was supposed to be a celebratory meal. The venue is very charming and the server was excellent, however we were packed at a very small table directly beside a very loud table, and on the other side people were carrying large props back and forth the entire meal for an event. The coq au vin was tasty as well as the cocktail I ordered, but everything else was underwhelming (other main, appetizers and desserts). Paired with the high price of admission I unfortunately can not recommend Maison Selby.

We went in for Winterlicious and after being seated, we waited approximately 25-30minutes for anyone to come to our table to take an order. We finally got someone to come when we flagged a nearby server and they apologized and explained that they were not our server but will take our order anyways. Many tables around us came in after us and were served long before we were noticed, which was upsetting. Once food came out, we still had to flag someone down for condiments for the table. The food was fine but definitely did not make up for the poor service. We were there to celebrate one of us getting a new job and our evening was quite soured by the experience. I have been to Maison Selby before and to other O&B restaurants and had a great experience. I assume it was just an off night, but I would have appreciated better service especially after beng forgotten at the beginning of our night.

I went for dinner tonight with a group of friends and was really excited to try this restaurant. Although we arrived about 15 minutes late to our reservation, the staff was accommodating at first. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. It took a while for our server to greet us, and when she did, she came across as rude and unhelpful. When we asked for menu suggestions, her responses included comments like “I don’t know what you like” and “I don’t really like that,” which isn’t something I want to hear from a server at a restaurant I’m about to eat at.
The appetizers were delicious and came out fairly quickly, but the wait for our mains was extremely long. We were seated at 8:30, received our appetizers around 9:15, and didn’t get our main courses until 10:30. While the food itself was good, the service completely overshadowed the experience. To make matters worse, we found a hair in one of our dishes, which was at least removed from the bill.
Because of the long delays, we ended up missing our 9:45 reservation at the bar downstairs, Sous Sol. Overall, I was very disappointed — my expectations were high, and unfortunately, they were not met.
