Staff were friendly, burek is fresh/warm/flaky/savoury/delicious, and the combo plate with 2 different sausages was amazing (I like the small cevapi sausage more than the longer smoked veal sausage)
If you go to the back of the deli there’s usually 2 grandmas cheffing it up. Their food is amazing. You’ll get a typical Eastern European experience, we can be very direct lol.
I definitely recommend the Burek, the chevapi, and if they have zelnik. It’s to die for. Oh and get some kajmak for home, it’s better than any cream cheese at the grocery stores.

My first experience with Balkan-style meat was at a family friend's wedding, when I asked: "What is this delicious meat?" And the answer was: "Ćevapčići" (minced meat kebabs). When MAK European Delicatessens opened its doors in 2002, this became my go-to place for: tasty meat (ćevapi, pljeskavica, sudžukice), kajmak (Balkan cream cheese), burek (filo pies stuffed with meat, cheese or spinach), ajvar (roasted red peppers sauce), and mineral waters...
