I spent a bit of time here going to a cool open mic that has since moved to a new location. The vibes were always very strange. When I’d order a drink I’d often get corrected that the name had changed, and it seems like they never bothered to update any of their menus with the new updates. Feels weird to tell the customer they are wrong. I’d often order a drink and then have to wait an absurdly long time for it, it seemed like they never actually had the ingredients they needed behind the bar. It’s better just to order a tall can of something instead of a cocktail if you want to receive it within a reasonable time.

The atmosphere could be better if they worked harder to make it nicer, it seems like they want to attract creatives but the whole place feels very furnished by the dollarama décor section and all of the goods sold by artists are shoved in random corners of the place and aren’t always accessible. The books are cool, but some of them are in terrible shape. It feels like 10 different poor ideas all slapped together without rhyme or reason. Some of the chairs are broken, or uncomfortable to sit in. They are all totally random and feel like curb finds. It is giving more DI-WHY than DIY if you catch my drift.

I’ve never vended at this place, but I’ve heard some pretty mixed reviews from creatives who have, even citing lost products.

The food is fine, standard cafe fare but also a little strange! They offer crushed croissant sandwiches, which to me defeats the purpose of using a nice fluffy croissant if they are just going to smush it. It made me wonder if maybe they are using old bread.

It’s just not very memorable, and I expect it won’t last long.

Comedy competition night was fun.

Excellent vibes and strong support of one another. If you like fine cafe style drinks or specialty cocktails and excellent confections in a soothing and trendy atmosphere this place is for you. Make sure you order a chai latte or a “Moby Dick”!!

Bought a Jack Kerouac book here for only $5. Please open earlier on Saturdays before Music Bingo or stay open later. Possibly open Sundays. Want to eat and read without obligation to participate in events. I really like the Brie and Fig Sandwich as well as the 4 cup French Press for under $15.

The sweetest little bookshop cafe, they have talking point cards on the table in case you run out of convo!

Such a cool little find in this city filled with boring cookie cutter cold contemporary decor. Step inside for a mini escape from the city. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Friendly service. Delicious bites. Cold drinks.

We came for musical bingo. It was so fun! Cute place, love the decore. Staff are friendly and they make great drinks. Didn't have any food. Loved meeting their backbof house dog Loki. Will be back!

Great place for a bite to eat, and to sit with a book or a draft you need to write. There are also tons of board games on display, looks like a good place for a social event.

Lots of natural light during the day, quirky decorations, and the grilled cheese in a croissant is a brilliant idea.

Loved the cozy vibe of this place. They had live music, games and conversation starter cards which we enjoyed a lot as a family. Their sandwiches and coffee are delicious and not pricey. We will be back again! Perhaps for the Christmas market this December.
