Overall not bad but expected more after having been recommended by a friend. I had the prosciutto and funghi pizza (great crust, sauce ok, mushrooms tasted good, but the ham was lacking - bland and dry unfortunately). My companion had the risotto and filet. The risotto was a negative suprise for an Italian restaurant: lacking butter, too watery and didn't really look or taste like risotto. The beef was good though.Staff was great!

Unbelievably good! The pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection, and the portions were filling but not wasteful. My partner had a pasta dish with mussels which was spiced so perfectly. And shout out to our server, Max: they were laid back and casual and so friendly. The food was amazing but Max's service really elevated the experience and made our meal something to remember.

Great pizzas and a great little patio on a quiet side street off King E. Small but proper wine list, and authentic pastas. Pizzas are creatively topped and tasty - charred on the edges and soft in the middle.Construction noise does somewhat dampen the ambience but then go after 7 when it’s shut down - that’s not the restaurant’s fault. Support them with a full meal order

Great food, we had the antipasto misto, a margherita pizza, the lasagna and the tiramisu. All wonderfully fresh and delicious tasting. Nice service, the server was very friendly and helpful, she gave good wine recommendations based on our preferences and let us taste two to help us with our choice. Was a little bit of a wait to get our bill as it had started getting busier in the restaurant, but didn’t mind as the atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable.

There are very few authentic Italian food experiences in the GTA. In a beautiful hidden location is this truly authentic restaurant that offers up amazing fare. The staff are passionate and gregarious. The decor is subtle and yet truly authentic... This is not North American Italian... This is a beautiful replication of a rustic kitchen in a historic town of Italy, where the tables are ready, and the warmth and welcome is waiting for you. The carpaccio.. to die for.... The pasta... Not your North American fare where you bloat horribly... The pizza ...a beautiful crust that features the toppings..not the bread. You need to go here... They are passionate about bringing family dinners to their patrons... Food, laughter and love.Sure the prices might seem high... But if you understand the cost of quality food items and the skill of creating and cooking this... You get it. Once you try... You truly get it.GO!

I had high expectations of Mangia & Bevi. I used to work in the same building and I recall having a great experience the first time I ate there. The results were very different tonight, they only had one server for all the tables, so we felt a bit ignored. After waiting for a long time I ended up walking to the bar to get black pepper. The portions were OK, the food was good, but not as delicious as I recall.

One of the few traditional and authentic Italian Restaurants remaining in Downtown Toronto. Casual Italian fare made by Italians. Can't go wrong!

Going to dinner at Mangia feels like going to your Nona’s … the food is amazing and walking inside makes your mouth water with the smell of pizza wafting at you. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the decor is inviting and cozy.

Boyfriend and I have been wanting to try this quaint little spot near our condo for the past few months, and we were not disappointed at all. It is a family owned and run business, where you are treated like family. We ordered a bottle of the white wine which was suggested by Elenora, and was absolutely delicious. The pizza was the best ive ever had. so light, and all the ingredients tasted fresh! 10/10 will be going back after this lockdown!

Best pasta I’ve ever had!!! And that’s saying something. The mushroom pasta was to die for. This restaurant has such a great ambiance and vibe. The service was excellent. You really feel at home. Such a great overall experience - definitely going to become one of our go to spots downtown!

Had a pleasant dining experience. It’s a warm environment. Pastas we’re a bit too oily but overall delicious.

Always a great meal, and lovely experience! Don’t be deterred by others saying the service is slow, this isn’t a ‘rush’ place, it’s a place to enjoy and relax over a bottle of wine. Add to that the struggles all restaurants have faced over the past year or so with lack of staffing and extra time needed for protocols, you just have to allow for it and be patient - everywhere, not just here. Highly recommend Mangia & Bevi!

It's a cute, cozy, homey spot but the food was not outstanding and does not justify the high prices. We ordered a pasta dish and pizza - both were rather underwhelming. The pizza was a little dry and the pasta could have used more sauce.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the city. Located on king east in a office neighbourhood. My family and I love to go to celebrate an occasion given their warm and cozy atmosphere. Food is amazing, everything is authentic and truly high quality. Wine list is good and reasonably priced. Staff is so nice and wonderful. I highly recommend for a casual dinner, it is very family friendly.
