We chanced upon the place and I have to say everything was great! Top notch service, the kindest ppl and fantastic food. We had the fried rice, chilly pork, the bara and the Nepali sweet - all of them hit the spot. Barkeep makes a mean old fashioned as well. Will go back for sure. I didn't get any pics of the food sorry cause we ate it.
P.s. if you're from Karnataka try the sweet, it reminded us of Dharwad Peda

Mantra Nepali Restaurant is honestly one of the best places I’ve ever visited in Toronto. The vibe is warm, the food is delicious, and the staff treat you like family. Their momos, buff sukuti, chow mein, and achars are full of real Nepali flavour — fresh, authentic, and so satisfying.
But what truly made my visit special was the birthday surprise. The team brought out a small cake and celebrated with me — it was unexpected and honestly one of the sweetest moments. A huge shoutout to Tashi Dorjee Dai for making the night unforgettable. His kindness and hospitality made the experience even better.

The food was amazing, the chef did an excellent job, and the service was friendly. The atmosphere was great too. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for the best Nepali food. 10/10

Last night, I went to this place for the first time. The management was a total disaster, but the food and the servers were perfect. DJ Wahoo was amazing — he played the best music and worked really hard to keep the customers happy.However, there were a few things I didn’t like. Near the DJ area, there was a very bad smell — it seemed like some teenagers might have been smoking weed. When I went to the washroom, I was shocked to see some teenage girls vomiting on the floor. On the dance floor, some international students were behaving very inappropriately. I almost called the security guard, but I decided not to.Those girls were completely out of control and were saying ridiculous things to us. I would like to request that the management pay more attention to guests next time. Some guests come from far away to relax and enjoy themselves, but a few people like these girls can completely ruin the mood.Someone from the restaurant should be checking around the place — not just focusing on sales. Maybe you already have your regular customers, but remember, we are in Canada, and everyone deserves respect. Some guests should not be allowed inside if they can’t behave properly or speak respectfully when they are drunk. Thank you for replying. We were at Mantra, and we parked our car in front of or close to Thamel Restaurant (on the opposite side). When we entered your restaurant, one of your employees asked us to wait, so we went outside for a short walk.
I didn’t know the DJ’s name, but my “wow” meant that the DJ was awesome. However, the washroom was in terrible condition because many teenagers or students were vomiting, and the floor was covered with toilet paper.
Your employees were working very hard to serve the food, and I really appreciate their effort. Please don’t think I’m blaming you as the owner — I’m just sharing my experience from that night. I just want to suggest that management be more careful when drunk people start disturbing others.

Visited the place thrice, I must say the pork sekuwa never disappoints, Chyang was top notch, mitho chowmein with dherai dherai buff and since it was a karaoke night, we may have gotten a little too loud and crazy , anyway we enjoyed a lot and had a great time. Amazing restaurant! Delicious food (and big portions + reasonable prices), live music, incredible service and great vibes. The owner came to our table personally to explain the menu, make recommendations and tell us his story of opening Mantra. This will definitely be a staple restaurant for us moving forward, can't wait to visit again!
It was my first time at Mantra, and I absolutely loved the food! Everything was delicious and full of flavor. Our server, Jigmay, made the experience even better, he was friendly and had a smile on his face the entire time. Great service and great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Mantra was a spacious and a perfect ambiance restaurant to have dinner with big groups or with your loved ones. The service was immaculate and they also serve halal chicken, you just have to call ahead and ask them, (updated after 2nd visit) also I went there again today they said their mutton is halal too. Thankyou so much me and my friend love it there.

Stumbled upon this restaurant as the usual one we visit for Tibetan food had over an hour wait. We’re so glad we found this place, from the live music on the weekend to food, and the great customer service, we were so thrilled with our choice. All the dishes had the perfect spice level, and the Hakka noodles as well as the momos were very tasty!
