This was about the 6th time we eaten at the Maple Leaf Tavern and my 1st review of it. If you looking for massive american portions slathered in Cheese this not your place. Its not average bar food by any standard. Alternatively if you want very well prepared comfort food, and great cocktails this is the place you've been looking for. I've had different dishes here and all have been really quite good, the one time I did have something I had ordered before it was as good...
Eggplant main was good, the Tavern Pie was INCREDIBLE! Super creamy and flavorful. The cheesecake was great too. The portions are a good size, filling enough but you are not stuffed, and have room for dessert. ;)

Really enjoyed the cheeseburger with fries. Keep in mind the patties are medium well. Perhaps it’s because I ordered takeout, but I was slightly disappointed with the portion of the fries; I would’ve hoped it filled up the takeout container more.
