Located in the shipping container food strip of Scadding Court, Marq’s creates a very comforting Chicago style beef sandwiches. Definitely go hungry as these sandwiches will fill you up! They also serve up crinkle fries for a real retro comfort vibe.

This place is magic. Friendly team, fast service, critically 10/10 sandwich.Just hits the spot on a cold winter morning! Give the team all the support; you can tell they put a lot of care and effort into their product and are super humble about it. That’s the kind of establishment where I am more than willing to come back for more.

I randomly came across Marq's while doing Google Maps prep before a trip to Toronto, and I'm glad I did! In a city the size of Toronto, there's not a lot of truly unique places, so it's cool that Marq's is bringing this Chicago classic up to the Big Smoke. I've never been to the Windy City to have a baseline, but this was just a damn good sandwich no matter how you slice it (or dunk it)! There was tons of thinly-sliced roast beef. The meat was tender and not overcooked despite the thin cut, and the dipping added more beefy goodness. The roll was crusty and dense without being tough, and I liked that the dip (not full submersion, as with the "dunk") allowed for a mix of textures from the bread. The hot giardiniera and sweet peppers brought some crunch, heat and tartness that really make this sandwich a well-balanced (flavour-wise at least) meal. When I finally do get to Chicago, and I know that I'm in for a treat thanks to Marq's!

Absolutely not my style of sandwich but it was pretty good! Just got a 6" beef with spicy peppers. Pepper juice was great. Was left feeling like a little more salt or Msg in the juice would make this a 5/5 but it didn't quite hit the mark for me.Still worth checking out!!

My girlfriend is a chicago girl and when she moved to Toronto with me, she has been missing classic Chicago meals for a long time. Portillos and Johnnys Beef, just to name a couple! After discovering Marqs, we decided to take a walk to this lovely place immediately. Unfortunately, we just missed it as it closed right when we got there but, after walking past it, the owner ran towards us to offer us fries and drinks on the house since we just missed it. Just because of this, We came back the next day! The food was delicious, to say the least. Perfectly salted crinkle cut fries with a 9 inch italian beef dunked to give that Chicago feel. We were met with a smile and left with happy tummies and a happy wallet (affordable meals, finally!) I will be coming often here, thats for sure. Thumbs up from me!

I had recently visited the best Chicago style Italian beef sandwich shop in town, and it felt like an authentic Chicago experience. The service was exceptional from the start. The friendly staff who were also the owners, were more than happy to guide me through their menu and answer all my questions.I ordered the beef n sausage duo and garlic parmesan fries. The French roll that held everything together was fresh and perfect for dunking in the au jus. The Italian beef itself, holyyy! It was thinly sliced, tender, and packed with flavour. The seasoning was a great balance between savory and tangy. The sausage had a good snap when biting into it and I think complemented flavour of the beef. I chose the combination of sweet peppers and giardiniera on top which added an extra layer of spicy sweetness. The portion size was generous, the attention to detail was evident, and the sandwich itself was a 10/10.I ordered a side of garlic parmesan fries that seems like it's being slept on. I was addicted to them and so was my sister!Overall, my experience at this Italian beef shop was absolutely top-notch. The combination of incredible flavors, friendly service, and attention to detail is what shows that this place is 5 stars. I cannot recommend this place enough to all food enthusiasts out there. If you've been to Al's beef or Portillo's, you know that this one is up there with em

After trying Italian Beef in Chicago this summer, I looked for a Toronto place that offered it. Found this gem which appears to be the only place that has it. Been back 4 or 5 times since. I always get it spicy and dunked. Should be eaten quickly after order, not sure how well it will hold if dipped or dunked and not eaten right away. The fries I found alright but nothing to write home about.

Believe us when we say Ryan and his brother are doing some great things at Marqs. Probably the only Chicago beef sandwich available in Toronto, you are getting a ton of food and flavour for a very affordable price in the heart of downtown. Nestled away on Market 707/Bathurst & Dundas, make sure you visit them and try any one of their sandwiches - you won't regret it. Oh, and don't forget to get an order of their rooftop fries.
