Had late breakfast for four on Nov 23/2025. It was our second visit in five years. We were seated quickly despite it being busy and the food and service were great. We rarely eat out anymore because we almost always walk away disappointed at sub-par food quality, portion, service, price, cleanliness etc. Happy to say MARS is none of that.

Classic diner experience and we loved it! The wide selection of well prepared food served by a friendly server. We had Avocado Toast served with two perfectly poached eggs and we had an order of Toast, Eggs, delicious hash browns.

I would (and will!) return for lunch or dinner sometime soon.

Great restaurant!

I went there Tuesday morning to have brunch with a friend, I ordered an earl grey tea with almond milk. I was charged 3,50 for tea and 3,95 for the almond milk. I work in the service industry and understand having to charge for little things but charging me almost 4 dollars for 1oz of almond milk is just crazy. Not ever coming back

Kinda disappointed with Mars Diner today. It’s my neighborhood diner and I enjoyed going there once in a while. It was really busy (which is totally fair for a saturday morning)and we had to wait about 10 minutes even though an empty table was right beside us, they said the host was busy so we couldn’t sit. When I finally got my coffee, I was already halfway through the mug when I noticed a crumb stuck on the inside like the cup hadn’t been washed properly. The waitress was dismissive and she said there are crumbs all around the kitchen, but honestly no one wants to drink from a dirty looking mug, so we cancelled our food and left. Hopefully the waitress was right and that piece of bread wasn’t someone else’s leftover food. It’s kinda disgusting to drink half cup of coffee from a not properly washed cup.

Extremely slow service, it took the guy 20 minutes to make pancakes, people who ordered after me get their food first. Asked for a cup of water, it tastes like bleach
People gave this restaurant good reviews either because the large portion or because they are neighbours. Their food never tasted good…Price went up like crazy as well, I don’t think this business will sustain, and they are struggling

Amazing retro diner! The service is super friendly and fast, coffee refills keep coming, and the food is just perfect. The eggs and home fries were delicious, pancakes light and fluffy, and the prices very reasonable for the quality. Love the 50s–60s vibe and music. One of the best brunch spots in Toronto — I’ll definitely be back!”

Had the early bird special that goes till 10am. 2 eggs, home fries and 4 slices of toast! Cannot beat that deal. They use good quality eggs and cook the potatoes with rosemary and onions. Fast friendly service, nice old school diner vibe but still very clean. Definitely will be back
