The Chinese looking guy is so rude and intolerant. His service is just ruining the reputation of the restraunt. I asked to pickup for my order but he rudely delayed me for 25 minutes. Its so sick that i have to wait 25 minutes for sandwiches lol.

The Mars is a family-owned, locally owned restaurant with excellent service and a breakfast that's impossible to dislike.

It's located one block from the Eglinton subway station and close to bus stops. It doesn't have its own parking lot, but there are public parking spaces on the street.

A tip for those visiting on weekends is to arrive early, as due to the variety of items on the menu, the restaurant is usually busy and ordering may take a little longer.

The service is excellent, always attentive, patient, and caring.

The menu offers a wide variety of items, but the most popular items are usually marked with a red star.

The prices are good and well worth it, as the portions are generous.

Unfortunately, Mars doesn't have adequate facilities for serving customers with disabilities; The restrooms are located on the lower floor, requiring the use of stairs. The aisle between tables is narrow, making it difficult for wheelchairs to access. There's no Braille menu, and there's no automatic door.

The restaurant doesn't have a patio, so pets are unfortunately not allowed.

It's worth a visit, and you should definitely try the variety of items on offer.

Honestly I felt that the food was kind of overpriced for what you get and the food wasn't that great, they also tipped THEMSELVES %20 on top of the bill when it was only me and one other person

I was at your restaurant at 11:30 AM on August 2nd, 2025. There were two tables in front of us, and we waited patiently. A waiter told me that I would need to wait about 8 minutes. Then same waiter came back and said a table had become available, and that they could seat the three of us by just adding a chair. I politely declined, because I was with my 6-year-old niece and wanted a more comfortable breakfast. I said I didn’t mind waiting.

Shortly after, the table right by the window became available. The same staff member told me our table was ready, but when I asked if we could sit there, I was told “no, that’s a large table,” even though only two people had just left that table.

I’ve been to your restaurant many times before. The blonde waiter with glasses and the Asian staff member with glasses usually recognize me, and I’ve never had a negative experience—until today. The staff member I interacted with this time had the worst energy I’ve experienced there.

We were a group of three. Two people had just left that table. I was ready to wait for it to be cleaned, but was told again that it was “for larger groups.” Why are you making things harder than they need to be?

What was the issue here? We didn’t disrespect anyone. We were willing to wait as long as needed. I’ve worked in hospitality before it’s really not that hard to treat people kindly and accommodate them when possible.

The last time I came to Mars was just before Covid. Today ordered the same food The Mars Mountain and noticed a significant decline in the quality.
The service is good but very slow. The atmosphere is good, just a tight space for most two seat tables.

Very disappointed. Horrible steak and eggs, over cooked and full of salt two bites and when presented to the server, no option but just pay. No breakfast but they don't mind stealing your money. Disappointed and still hungry

We hadn’t been to Mars Diner in a long time and we were really looking forward to going.
Unfortunately we left having eaten nothing!
We were seated right away, the waitress was lovely and friendly. We placed our drink and breakfast orders almost immediately.
My husband’s juice came quickly then after 10-15 minutes I still didn’t have my iced coffee. We asked and were told that the ice machine is “really slow today” Fair enough, but they should let their customers know it’ll be a longer wait.
Eventually it came, but still no sign of our food. We could see the cooks in the kitchen and they were sending out delivery order after delivery order!
After a 30+ minute wait we saw yet another delivery order going out with no sign of our food anywhere near being prepared we told the waitress to cancel our order and left.
Someone needs to remind them that their customers who are literally sitting in front of them need to be served before a dozen different delivery orders!

I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and The Mars Steak Sandwich. Portions were great. Unfortunately it tasted like sweet burrito and gasoline respectively. Not worth the money to be blunt. Maybe their other stuff.
