My favourite coffee shop along the Danforth. Not for studying/working, or meeting up with friends, but rather the actual espresso, staff and quaint atmosphere. It’s so bare bones in every way and I love every aspect of it. I periodically stay in the Danforth for weeks at a time, and yet I’ve managed to establish a cadence with all 3 (?) baristas where they know my order the moment I walk in. It’s good vibes all around, love my early morning stops at Marvel.

I came here on January 7, 2023 with my boyfriend and the service the lady provided was great but the reason this cafe gets 2 stars is because we found ants in our ice lattes.We ordered 2 ice vanilla lattes in the morning around 9AM before we headed to work and it was only when we left the cafe and on our way to the station is when we noticed the ants floating at the top.I’m not sure where the ants came from since it’s winter but my boyfriend and I are either suspecting it came from either the ice machine or the syrup bottle.For anyone dinning please make be sure to check your drinks.

I love their coffee and the Blueberry scone the best! The staff, Nicole is very nice and friendly. A Great place to chill along Danforth and Carlaw Streets.
I asked for an herbal tea iced- “regular tea, not a latte”..Had quite a detailed exchange with the server about putting it on ice, no milk no sugar, etc.. When I asked specifically if I was going to be charged more for the Macha chai - since she offered that as an option- she said no-She couldn’t print out my receipt because “their machine doesn’t give receipts “ and “no one really asks for receipts “ so I only caught the mistake once I printed it out at home: she’d charged me $4.50 for the tea- listed as a “latte” on the receipt- which it clearly wasn’t. And after she had explicitly answered it would not cost more than a regular tea. This is unacceptable service, and I will not be returning. The kicker: macha chai tastes absolutely gross on its own without sugar or milk - the spices like pepper do not dissolve! -so the server should have advised.

My boyfriend is from Greece and his favourite drink is the classic Greek frappé. It wasn't listed on the menu but the barista was nice enough to attempt making it for him as he gave her instructions. It wasn't perfect he said, but it was a good effort. We went a 2nd time and we ordered frappé again with the same barista. She recognized us and asked how she could improve the first attempt from our last visit. He patiently gave her instructions and she kindly complied. It was wonderful, according to my boyfriend and we tipped her more than the first visit because she really put in the effort and seemed to genuinely care about our satisfaction. Beyond the great customer service, the patio is perfect for fresh air and people-watching on a summer day, while the interior looks modern and chic. I definitely recommend this slightly hidden neighbourhood gem.
