People are always complaining about how hard it is to eat both healthy and cheap in downtown Toronto. Ma's Best Quality Soup in the PATH below First Canadian Place solves both of these problems: the soups are simple yet amazing (and all vegetarian/vegan/healthy/) + the price is right vs. basically everything else that you'll be buying "take out" in the PATH.White Bean & Kale, Lentil and Moroccan Chickpea are all fantastic (I prefer chunkier soups) and the ability to be able to mix and match anything you want is also a "plus" as it provides for even more variety. I'm sure the more puréed soups are good, too, but just not my thing (good for mixing, though!).Tara and Belinda - present at Ma's Best every day of the work week - serve as your guides to help you navigate through everything they've got for sale, and they are both a complete pleasure to deal with. They are always helping you out to find the best deal, or the best flavor combination.Five stars across the board. Highly Recommended.

I love these soups and enjoy trying their different varaieties. I do struggle with the lack of customer service provided by the staff at this lcoation. They are curt, abrupt and outright unfriendly and realy don't look like they are happy working there. I struggle through the interaction to get great soup...smile and thank the customers please!

Their food is good, I wont deny that BUT they are RACIST. I order from here regularly every week for my lunch. I usually order through a delivery app but today I decided to go in person. I was ignored at the counter. No one approached me to take my order so I decided to stand by the cash register thinking that would imply i am ready to order A caucasian man walked in shortly after, he was greeted and asked what he would like. After he ordered i said " Can I order? " The man started to apologize saying he didnt realize he cut ahead of me ( he didnt he was standing behind me) I assure him it wasn't his fault I then asked for my mayo substitution ( which is what I ask for on every order) the lady says " theyre pre made!" Then the person making my sandwich asks what I said and I told him about the mayo he says " it will be extra" i was fine with that , I asked how much he says " there is no button for it so i will charge you for extra chicken" i asked if that was more than 1 dollar he relied yes, i declined When paying i told them how i order online all the time and they always sub my mayo, the older man cashing me out wouldnt look at me just pushed the terminal towards me to pay and kept saying" ya ya its always premade" Ill never order from here and ill be sharing this experience with every and anymore. I paid for my food and left it there on the counter

Your product is good I enjoy it, but could you not be so cheap to the owners and please get yourself some crackers, this whole business that your staff keeps telling everyone because of Covid there’s no more crackers it’s just simply ridiculous soup and crackers go hand-in-hand

Exploring the area around ourAirbnb we came across this little gem. Soup and a shared panini was just perfect for a quick lunch. The cream of broccoli soup was absolutely delicious hot and a good serve. We shared the panini and that too was perfect. The Nook seemed very popular with lunch time locals and understandably so. Good food!
