What a lovely surprise! Passed this place many times and never tried it out. Friday evening family dinner with the kids after a long week - and the food was excellent, enjoyed by all, cool but relaxed vibe, and well priced. New fave spot in the hood.

lovely space. Great beet salad - after they said it was sold out then would make it. My friend barely touched his pasta, didn't want to take it home, and they didn't ask if it was ok. (Bland) Short staffed so long time to have order taken and to get bill.
Disappointing Experience: Avoid the Pizza Margherita!
I recently ordered two Pizza Margherita for take-out, but unfortunately, they were a letdown. The pizzas lacked flavor, were incredibly bland, and shockingly, had barely any mozzarella cheese.
What a waste of time and money! I'm relieved I scratched this place off my list. Initially, I was curious, but now I know to steer clear. Save your taste buds and wallet and skip this spot.

Fantastico Italian staples, with gelato for dessert. A great casual place to take a date, or the family for a delicious quality meal: however be prepared to pay a bit more than usual.

First time at Mattachioni was wonderful! Great quality and value. Friendly and welcoming service. We'll go back, for sure. We sat on the cheerful, bright and private patio and enjoyed a perfect negroni, followed by a lovely beet and arugula salad with whipped ricotta, then yummy thin and chewy crust Napoli-style pizzas. The cooking is careful and skilled. Mushrooms were roasted to perfection, onions caramelized to luscious rich golden-brown, and both pizzas showed creative flair: they were as beautiful to look at as they were delicious to eat. The pizza dough is tasty and the cook timed it perfectly - thin, bubbled crust without blackened or overcooked toppings. Ended our visit with a quick shop around the grocery section to pick up house-made chicken stock, peperoncino and bolognese sauce. They were sold out of their excellent sourdough loaf, which is definitely worth a try.
Great day for brunch! The service and ambience were excellent. Thanks you!

Excellent pizzas, salads, and pasta. They also have a small store in the front of the restaurant where you can pick up fresh breads, sauces, wine and more.

the service was okay! we had to ask for water and napkins, but the waiters were consistent checking up on us. there was a spider in my pasta but before i found that out it was okay ?. they took it off my bill of course but sheesh.
The food was nothing to write home about and the service was pretty lacklustre. The server made a comment that they didn’t want to be there which set the tone right at the beginning of the meal.
Someone on nextdoor suggested this place for their sourdough, and let me tell you, it's good. It's REALLY good. They have loaves and boules, and they have a slicer. They have other breads like focaccia and lots of other food goods that I have not bought. But if you want a sourdough, try and get there early. Because once it's gone, it's gone!

Server told us right off the bat that he didn’t want to be working - which was an odd thing to say at the start of an interaction :/Tagliatelle was literally sticky pasta with butter. Caesar salad was limp. Even the Margherita pizza was weird? best thing was the olives and warm bread.Drinks were mid, at best. Patio was cute (and full, surprisingly). We expected better based on our experience at the other location.

Good food and friendly staff. Very accessible restaurant with a stroller :)
Excellent service and good vibes but the food was mediocre. I recommend skipping the lemon cake - it’s barely distinguishable from the stuff you can buy at grocers.

Great thin crust pizzas. Had tasty beer salad as well and glass of Barbera and Nebbiolo to round out our experience
