I stopped by Matty’s Patties with my partner, and while I initially appreciated that they carried Impossible Meat, my experience left a lot to be desired. The staff member who took our order was noticeably unfriendly and seemed impatient and bored when I asked a simple question about the toppings. When my burger arrived, it had cheese on it—despite me ordering the plant-based option and no mention of cheese being made when I asked the staff member what the ingredients in the burger were. They did remake it when we pointed it out, but by then, the whole experience had put me off my meal.
The menu is also a bit misleading—while they list an Impossible Burger and note that it’s plant-based, it apparently comes with cheese by default, which isn’t clarified, and mentioning that the burger is plant-based would definitely imply that it’s vegan. If you have dietary restrictions, I’d recommend double-checking your order, as attention to detail and care for customer service don’t seem to be priorities here. For a place charging $16 for a burger, I would have expected more care and professionalism.

I’ve been to Matty’s Patty’s a few times now and it never disappoints! The burgers, fries and poutine are always amazing!
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming as well! Always a repeat!
Great place to go to. I was surprised that both the french fries and onion rings were frozen and not fresh from their own product. Also, I actually expected more when it came to the overall food experience.

I honestly don’t understand why this has such rave reviews…. Is it because he’s famous or is it personality? Cause we can’t be paying $21 for a burger combo that does even come with a drink. The food is literally the definition of salty cardboard. The bread dry as hell (c’mon man atleast butter those buns) and the sauce or whatever was in it, was so salty that it was inedible. Fries weren’t even crispy. I am convinced that if I need a good burger, I need to head over to Australia. But hey, atleast Matty’s merch is cool.
First and last time. Ordered via Uber Eats. Child size portion of fries for 6.50 that tasted like they were days old. Cold and stale. Forgot to give the sauce I ordered that I paid 3 dollars for. Bland burger. Biggest waste of 33 bucks.

Visiting from London UK, I was lucky enough to get to dine in both Mattys establishments while in Toronto. The burger and sides here are top notch. Next level, ingredients and cookery. I dined in, soaking up the best music tracklist that completely suited the outlet and gnawed down on the most flavoursome, juicy burger I've had in years. The chilli cheese fries are not to be missed but most of all having dined in both prime seafood and here...the staff are a true asset to these establishments and push the experience to a higher level.

Went here during our holiday in Canada. As tourists staying quite central Toronto, we find it quite difficult to get to but the trip was well worth it! we enjoyed our burgers very much, chips are nice and plenty. The only con is that it is a very busy restaurant so it can be crowded. There’s a pressure to finish quick so others can have their turn to dine in.
