I recently had the pleasure of visiting Max Bakery, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked goods enveloped me, instantly making my mouth water. The variety of treats available is impressive, but what truly stood out to me was the bread. Overall, Max Bakery is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates exceptional food and fresh bread. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of their delicious offerings!

The freshly baked pineapple buns are the best pineapple buns I have eaten in Canada so far. The egg tarts are slightly sweet but also very good!

The dinner roll is very small, very plain not worth the price. The custard bun is mushy. The store is empty at Saturday 4pm, I should have known better than buying buns from this place.

I just bought a shredded coconut pineapple bun. It fell hard with one bite. So fresh! The proprietress's bad words are just baked and frozen. She is really just trying to be a stupid customer? and tearing down her own sign. It's not even close to selling two for an ordinary bag. But the quality will not help me next time! The bread is not fresh, not recommended to buy

Been to this bakery a few times at various hours of the day. It seems they are continuously baking. That is to say every time I've visited, there are racks and racks of freshly baked breads cooling. I can't get enough of the white and multi grain square loaves. You can have the bread sliced thick or thinner and you can buy a whole loaf or half of one. The bread is delicious and soft. I've made great sandwiches, toast, grilled cheeses, and so much more with them. If you enjoy the Hong Kong style square breads, you should try Max Bakery!

An old fashioned HK style bakery. They sell the traditional buns a made in the traditional way. Very good flavor and lots of filling for the coconut filled bun and pineapple bun. I came near closing time so there wasn’t much choice, but the baker was very patient, and chatty. They also make loaves of white and whole wheat for toast that the local cafes use. Made me very nostalgic for HK wayyyy back in the day. PS. There was no price special. But the buns are worth buying regardless

On the one hand, the buns are good. On the other hand, you really have to be careful with the owner. I used to be a regular customer and she thought I “wouldn’t know” about the price of buns after 6pm. She tried to charge me the regular price for 6 buns. Deliberate lying.I stopped going here because of this.Another time I asked for cold Hong Kong milk tea and she just put ice cubes in the hot one… it was very diluted and not good.

I bought half a loaf of salty bread here yesterday. It was hard on the edges. I could tell it was not freshly baked when I touched it. It seemed like it was two days ago. The short woman told me that it was freshly cut. , I have bought bread here many times before and nothing like this happened. This kind of person is so dishonest.

Such nostalgic and traditional pineapple buns! Eat well, eat well, and don’t eat like a gust of wind! They specialize in wholesaling party bags to other restaurants. That’s right!

Haven't been here since 2020, since moving away, but was back in town for a bit and had to go back. Was a good idea because this place is still popping. Their coconut pineapple buns are a must try. Sorry for bad photo, ate it so quickly.

The cake was frozen when I got it. Also, you have to be careful with which buns are part of the deal half dozen deal. They don’t label it so it’s always confusing when you pay.

Fantastic bakery run by a small humble family. They always greet us with a smile and the price cannot be beat! They offer a wide variety of selection and custom cakes too!
