Visited this place with a bunch of my friends, one of whom had been visiting this place since the 90's. It was nice to experience the vibe of the place. Our hosts were exceptional and the food & drinks were great. Would love to go back again.

Fun, comfortable place to go with friends and take the family. Kids of all ages are welcome. Go a few times and the staff gets to know you. New menu - some of the old favs are no longer available at all times and days

McSorely’s is one of those comfort places where I could walk in, grab a bite and a drink, and leave happily. Diego was my server, he was friendly and thoughtful all night.

Was looking for a place to have sunday brunch. Food was decent for the price, atmosphere is typical cozy bar. Our server Anna was very friendly and welcoming. Has a couple vegan options, but mostly typical bar food.

Went in for a late lunch on Sunday. Place was busy. Turns out everyone else was just drinking - 4 of us ordered meals, and 3 out of 4 were unsatisfied with the meal. Lacked flavour. Chicken Kabobs were very boring. Wings totally lacked any spices. The Catch of the day (fish) was very plain. Enjoy drinks only here, Folks.

The atmosphere was really good. However, the food was the worst I have had in a long time. Only go here for a drink, as there are better places to eat. The Kabobs had no flavour and were served on boring white rice. Very bland. And the chicken wings were awful, and they forgot to put the flavour on them. When mentioned to the waitress, it was in one ear and out the other. Again the prices we pay today to eat out there are definitely better places to go to.

Great neighborhood spot. Foods not that great but drinks are goods and the atmosphere is relaxing

Great brunch selections and tasty meals. Service was somewhat slow given that there weren't many customers here today.

Sadly, this is no longer your Dad's McSorley's.

What used to be the charm of Toronto's best loveable and intentional dive bar, with a staff with heart-of-gold and self-deprecating humor you can only pull off when you are authentic, and a kitchen staff with cooks who took pride in ingredients and cooking delicious daily specials, this restaurant as been replaced by an expensive renovation inside which took away all character.

The authenticity of Simon, peanut shells on the floor, magicians and trivia nights, and "fast, cheap or good - pick two" and the Dagwood are gone.

New ownership seems to have cut costs, cut quality, cut staff... and after two food poisonings from what used to be the best wings in North Toronto three months apart, and expired cole-slaw served to a friend of mine that would keep flies away, it appears they've cut cleanliness and quality standards as well.

All good things must come to an end, I guess. This one hurts though, because I loved this pub so much, for so long.

I will visit again, because Leaside is my home, so I hope they can turn it around (but I'll only be having drinks served from a can or bottle for the time being), and I'll be the first to delete this post and make a new one - or that they sell it - if they fix what's wrong...

...but this is an honest review.

Cheers.

Nice to visit our old hangout from when my wife went to Glendon 25 years ago. Sure, the paint has changed and your feet don't crunch when you walk on the floor (the floor used to be covered in peanut shells), but they seem to have retained the spirit and certainly the good food. They lie about their bad service (running joke) - it's really quite good, too.

I guess it’s the only “pub” in this neighbourhood; has a bunch of regulars who always seem to be prioritized over “other walk ins” . Terrible service as a result of this. Impolite staff. Food is your average pub food which is the only upside. I wouldn’t recommend.
