I came for winterlicious and got the three course meal. The curry was fun and sweet with lychee and pineapple which I enjoyed. The mango sticky rice was disappointing though since there wasn’t a lot of mango and they felt a bit unripe. Maybe it’s just not in season. I also wish there was a sauce over it, but it wasn’t bad

Such a cute and cozy restaurant! The food was flavorful and incredible. I had the chef’s special pad Thai and it was bursting with flavor and so full of ingredients. We got to chat with the owner, Allen, and the head chef Sesi who were both were so kind, accommodating, and just honestly good people. If you’re in Toronto and want to feel like a local, I so recommend coming here ☺️✨

Very unique and delicious dishes! The winterlicious menu is worth the money and one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever tried! We met the owner of the restaurant and we were greeted so well. I celebrated my birthday dinner and the owner made a drink for me. The ambience is very cozy and vintage.

The service was amazing, the owner is so kind and helpful. The inside is cool but it was very cold where we were seated. We were freezing. The ginger tea was really good. The Panang curry was really watery and there were no vegetables in it. I would love to come back and try other items, they had some really unique items on the menu like the lemon grass crème brûlée and the red Thai curry with lychee.

This place is tucked away in the heart of downtown and truly is another gem! We came in during a really cold, Friday evening and were taken away by the incredible hospitality, service and food. The recommendations were honest, insightful and every bite of the dishes we tried were really wholesome. Chef Sasi Meechai truly is incredible and her husband Alan really gives this place a sense of community, love and personality. It felt like we were having beautifully prepared, delicious home-cooked food and the ambience really just added to it all. Highly recommend coming here and trying their dishes, it’s an incredible experience and you leave with so much good energy, warmth and love. Really looking forward to coming back!

We have tried all the downtown Thai staples, such as Pai , Khao San road, Sukhothai, Thai Barn Na and so on, and were looking to try a new place. This showed up as a highly rated establishment, just minutes from where we were.

The approach and ambiance are unlike a typical Thai restairant, offering more of an underground pub style vibe. Exposed brick walls and eclectic, hboho decor gives the space a relaxed, lounge like feel.

he whole experience started on a great note, when they brought the appetizers at double quick time because our son was starving.

The chicken satay was top notch and my usually critical son, enjoyed it immensely. The mango salad paired very well with the satay. The coconut shrimp was the best we’ve ever had in GTA and we order it at every opportunity we get, given it’s my favourite. It was crunchy, juicy and almost oil free. The lemongrass coconut soup was packed with flavour and had a very subtle lemon grass and umami flavour.

We ordered drunken noodles and red chicken curry with pineapple and lychee for the mains which were the top recommendations by the server and we were certainly not disappointed.
The drunken noodle was Thai flat noodles doused in sauce with veggies and chicken, delivering a sweet savoury flavour. Our son devoured the noodles while we were fixated on the red curry. The curry was an unexpected but brilliant combination of pineapple and lychee with spicy chicken. The sweet and spicy flours complimented very well, it was unlike any red curry we have ever tasted.

Our server was very helpful and everyone we interacted with made us feel very welcome. Overall an amazing experience.

We were too full to order desserts, but definitely coming back to try more dishes on the menu and hopefully save some space for the dessert!

Experienced food poisoning — disappointing visit despite high rating

I visited this place after seeing the strong reviews, but my experience didn’t match them. Unfortunately, I ended up with food poisoning afterward, so I’d recommend caution.

The food itself was quite bland, the service felt unprofessional, and the atmosphere wasn’t very comfortable. It’s possible others have had better experiences, but based on mine, I wouldn’t return.

Food was somewhat mediocre, lacking in any rich or interesting flavors. Also, the restaurant was very noisy with a cooking class taking place in the dining area. Having a separate room in the restaurant for this would be a better idea. On the flip-side, the dining interior was cozy and nicely decorated.
