Excellent Portuguese-style restaurant. Good for a couple or a family. They have tapas that are good for 2-3 people, for a smaller bite. We had the Jalapeno short rib beef on sweet buns. For mains, they have combination platters either seafood braises or some with both seafood and meat. We got the Sinforia for 2 which as a good combo of Tiger Shrimp, octopus, squid and clams in a white wine sauce. The white wine butter sauce is so good, we dipped a lot of things in it. The red braised white shrimp was good too. For a couple, we ordered one tomato rice and no other carbs. We were quite full after. For dessert, we ordered the Pavloka with passion fruit and coconut mousse. The meringue shelling was a bit too sweet for us but still unique and interesting. Overall, amazing freshness and quality for a decent price. Prices are up across of all restaurants but it still represents value compared to similar dining closer to the waterfront.
Ordered the creamy rice with fish dish. Disappointed only 2 shrimp and very little fish, mostly rice for $105.00. They could have put a little more fish considering the price.
Amazing food, surreal atmosphere, super nice waitress - everything is wonderful. Must come back!
Took some buddies out and they were in shock at how good the food was. The atmosphere was amazing, wine selection was great and our host was very knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back.
Our first time dining at Mercado and we were not disappointed. My wife and I were greeted by very friendly staff and served exceptionally good food. Being our first time we asked our server for recommendations and she hit the mark. Service was quick food was tasty. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. We definitely recommend you try it and we will definitely be back.
Everything was perfect. The wine referred to us by Vanessa was amazing, she was great. The food was always well presented and delicious. Jason was friendly and attentive. The ambience in the patio is amazing. The only thing we thought we would mention was the $24 a glass of house white wine. It's a bit too steep for a mediocre house wine 😝
Better than many Michelin star restaurants in the city. Service is also outstanding. 10/10
Amazing food and ambience. Price more towards the high side, but justifiable due to very high quality and good portion sizes.
Excellent food and service. Absolutely love the energy and genuine care with every connection.
Place is a little difficult to find but quite beautiful once you're inside! The atmosphere is lovely especially the outside patio. Staff is very friendly, professional. The food was great!

Took my husband for his bday. The food is excellent!!! We sat in the closed in patio and it was beautiful A bit pricy so I would only come for a very special occasion
Expensive and lack luster food. Horrible dining experience. On arrival the hostess was verging on rude - very unwelcoming. We started out in the main dining room inside and it was noisy. Kids running around. We asked to be seated in the patio. It had an unpleasant odour. Lulas Recheadas were luke warm and not tasty. The bacalhau a bras needed salt and lacked flavour. The bif at 48 dollars was tough and the "garlic sauce" tasted more like onion sauce. Did they run out of garlic? The fries were nothing to write home about. Menu choices were limited. Some dishes clearly not Portuguese. So why add them? Two of the three plates had chips. Will not go back.
The seafood rice was amazing and the chorico. The ambiance made you feel like you were in Portugal. Very authentic. Would definitely go back
What can I say, never fails every time we go to Mercado it's always such an amazing experience. The food was absolutely fantastic, as always and environment and service was excellent.
The credit card machine did not work. They only took cash or money transfer. They should have a way to pay credit card or debit at least.
