Midfield is my favourite place!! The wine list is wonderful with special descriptions under each wine, there was this wonderful creamy and textured chardonnay blend which I am still dreaming about . Not only a wine bar, midfield is also a food gem in the city! the chef has a farm where the vegetables are grown with love and you can tell, there are very creative/thoughtful dishes with the best seasonal ingredients. I have especially loved when celtuce is in season and on the menu, but year round the salmon crudo in its different iterations always hits the spot. Beyond the food and wine, the atmosphere is warm and very cozy. Everyone working is always incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and they seem to have an uncanny knack for recommending what I should drink, its like we have the same palate. If you're looking for a place with amazing wine, outstanding food go to Midfield!!!!

We had the most wonderful experience at Midfield last night. The food and wine was spectacular (salmon crudo, caraflex cabbage, pork kofta and the best fries in the City)! The experience at this wine bar was mixed. The wine selection was quite okay, and the food quality we tried, i.e. the Salmon Crudo, was very good. However, the music didn't quite match the ambience of the place. Jazz (and definitely not hip hop) would probably have been a better fit for the atmosphere of a wine bar. The service left something to be desired, as the host seemed more engaged in chatting with guests at the bar rather than attending to other patrons. While the decent wine and very good food were positive aspects, the overall experience could be improved with better music selection and more attentive service.

I had a disappointing experience at here last night. We ordered a $130 bottle of red wine, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. The waitress struggled to open the bottle and eventually returned with the wine in a jar, claiming there was an issue but that she had filtered it. The wine tasted like vinegar, likely due to improper storage conditions. When I asked to send it back, the owner became hostile. After some back and forth, he grudgingly admitted the wine was off but accused us of not understanding what makes a good wine. As someone from France, with a deep appreciation for fine wine, I can confidently say this was far from normal. I expected much better from a restaurant at this price point. I won’t be returning.

was at cry baby gallery they other day with friends and wanted a quick snack/drink. we ended up at midfield and were so happy with it. great wine choices and nice staff. we had a few treats that we all okay, nothing crazy. pickled veg, fries and salmon curdo. would suggest as mainly a drink spot.

We stopped in at midfield for a glass of wine before dinner with my 89 year old Grandma who is a notoriously picky person. The lovely human serving us (Gabriel!) was so patient with her bringing her sample after sample of wine to find a glass that she liked. We each loved the recommendations he gave and it was so sweet the patience he had with my grandma. She couldn’t stop talking about how much she enjoyed the experience and service for the rest of the night lol. Thank you Midfield!!!
