Served us raw shrimp fritters then still charged us for them - gross!
Best pressed sushi and fresh sashimi downtown Toronto !
Very, very delicious sushi! Especially the Aburi Oshi Sushi was incredibly tasty, and we can recommend it to anyone who loves sushi. The staff was very friendly and gave us excellent recommendations. We also didn’t have to wait long for our food.
I thought I would like this place, but I was pretty disappointed. I opted for the aburi prime sushi set menu for $118 and a cocktail which all together came out to $180. TLDR - while there were a couple of good bites, most of the food was very mediocre/under seasoned and the cost did not justify what I received. I actually left quite hungry still and had to get food at the bar I went to after dinner. Everything was just so small. The sashimi was bland and I only really enjoyed 3 out of 9 pieces of nigiri, again under seasoned or basic. I'm all about letting the individual fish flavors come through, but some of these really had zero seasoning. There was also no ginger offered to cleanse your palate in between bites.
For the service, it was okay. Nothing special. I did not like that I told them I had a crustacean shellfish allergy and the first response was that I couldn't get the set menu (even though I looked at the online menu ahead of time and there was only one piece of nigiri that I wouldn't be able to eat). They ended up saying it was fine in the end, but the fact that the first response was that they could accommodate didn't start the meal off right.
Overall, I would not return and I would not recommend. For $180 total, I was disappointed in the food, overall experience, and still left hungry. 🥲
We were there for the first time today. Due to traffic we were a few minutes late. We were seated relatively quickly. The host was kind a polite. From the moment our server came over to introduce herself and the menu we felt immediately welcomed. She provided wonderful suggestions. Our server was knowledgeable, accommodating, and just an absolute joy to have around. As our food came out plate by plate we were even more impressed with the flavours. We enjoyed the atmosphere and flexibility of the servers. We skipped dessert because we were full from everything we ordered. The dining experience was amazing. We will definitely be back!
The food is truly exceptional—each dish is crafted with precision and artistry. Their Aburi sushi is a must-try—melt-in-your-mouth perfection with layers of flavour that are simply unforgettable. The ingredients are fresh, and the presentation is stunning. I also appreciated the thoughtful sake and wine pairings, which really elevated the meal.
Great experience, super friendly! Food is pricey relatively. But nothing more than expected. Chefs choice was great!
All an all as you'd expect. Super friendly service
My wife and I visited MIKU today, as we often do, and once again it was a fantastic experience. Mike, our server, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect—his service truly elevated the entire visit. And of course, the sushi was exceptional as always. Highly recommend!
We had dinner here this evening and opted for the Kaiseki tasting menu. Having previously dined at the Vancouver location, we came in with high expectations for a similar experience in Toronto.
The meal started off strong — the tartare was a great first bite, and the sashimi course was beautifully presented and delicious. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there.
The hassun course was marred by an eggplant bite that left a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of an ashtray, which overwhelmed the final bite of the course — duck, in my case. The fish course looked promising, and while the sauces and risotto were enjoyable, the salmon itself was overcooked and dry.
The sushi course was a mixed bag. The Oshi (their specialty) was a highlight, but the nigiri was underwhelming both in quality and flavor. The Wagyu dish was a letdown; it arrived cold, and the accompanying salsa with slimy okra didn’t help.
Dessert was a pleasant surprise. The sorbet was well-executed and paired nicely with the citrus fruits for a refreshing finish.
Overall, the meal felt underwhelming. I wouldn’t order the Kaiseki here again and would likely stick to the Oshi, assuming I decide to return. Service was also lacking; we sat with empty plates for several minutes between courses, despite the restaurant being only about two-thirds full on a Saturday night. Not the dining experience we had hoped for.
Enjoyed the dinner in a casual business manner. The dishes are authentic (tried almost all the dishes with Michelin Chef collaboration) and very creative and special. The service is amazing and it could be a place for business for family for some celebrations:) Ume Sour Squid is a little bit too sour but very special though?

I ordered the 4 course set menu and it was delicious. I especially like the platter with 9 different types of sushi. Three stars because the service was incredibly slow. It took a while just to even order our first drinks. At one point we had ordered additional dishes, but they took so long to come that we had lost all momentum and I personally would have just cancelled my order in favour of grabbing the bill. Our server also kept getting interrupted/distracted by what appeared to be the manager.
I personally much prefer Miku in Vancouver. The several times I have been there, we have always had attentive service and the view and atmosphere are excellent.

We had the Aburi Oshi Sampler and the Sushi selection. The ingredients were high-quality and they were tastefully put together. The service was attentive and the restaurant's decor is very nice.

The sushi is good but quality is inconsistent when ordering for delivery. The california roll sometimes has shredded crab, sometimes its whole..sometimes with mayo and sometimes without. Ideally what is delivered would consistently match the site’s description. The rice was undercooked on the most recent order which was disappointing given the $$$.
