I've had to come change my positive review after the last few times I've visited. There are some absolute angels that work there, but one barista routinely gives me attitude over matcha. Today, they started to make fun of the way I pronounce matcha to their coworker, saying "I hate when people go myaatchaa or myaatchieee", which... I don't?..
In the past they have also told me off for requesting sweetened matcha because "It shouldn't be sweetened", even though other baristas ask me whether or not I'd like it sweetened.
It's really frustrating to have to feel like I'm on my toes when I go in and they're there, sorry. The drinks are great and the other baristas are kind, but this kind of interaction is too much to handle.

I've been here a few times and I usually go with my friends who work within Stackt and I've witnessed the barista be so rude to her while being so patient and polite to other customers. We've had so many experiences across multiple weeks where baristas there are rude. A barista there consistently mocks my friend for asking questions about the menu, how she speaks and what she orders. The food and drinks are fine but the service really ruins the whole experience and vibe for our day.

Went in on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy, but the lineup was moving at a pretty decent pace.

The space is long and narrow and they offer a bit of seating. Most of the space is taken up by the bar in the centre. I think they were able to make the most of the space that they had. I like the interior design of the space. It looked modern and warm.

I tried their Cold Foam Chocolate Milk which was nice - not too sweet, and I liked the chocolate shavings that added a kind of dark chocolate/ bitterness to contrast with the bit of sweet.

Coffee was very pleasant - However the service from the one staff member was extremely questionable, some training in customer service is due!

This is my local cafe and I have tried so many times to love it but the staff are so awful and rude. They frequently ignore you, don’t look up when you come in or make eye contact or even say hello. It’s really disappointing because I would love to come all the time because the coffee and food are great but often walk out after 5 minutes of standing there so I won’t be trying again.

I visited this store during a pop-up event where they were offering free lattes in collaboration with Maison Margiela. The caramel vanilla syrup paired nicely with the foamy latte, and the sample perfume giveaway was a nice touch! However, the espresso shot was a bit too strong for me personally—I experienced a fast heartbeat throughout the day, felt unusually energized in the evening, and woke up early the next morning. It’s probably better suited for those who handle caffeine well. That said, it’s a lovely place overall!

If you are a person of colour don’t bother going. As soon as me and my friend walked into the place, the change in expression of this white girl barista changed as if she didn’t expect a POC to be there or like we don’t belong there. Also her attitude towards us was much different than another white guy who ordered in front of us. You might think that I might be over exaggerating but I swear her energy was not the same with all people. We can tell when someone is ignorant, we are not stupid. The prices on the menu were also not matching when we paid (I am saying it with the tax).

I asked for light ice and the attendant said no. I received a couple that was half ice. The beverage is good but I can do it at home without ice.

Beautiful space, design-wise. Friendly staff. Can only speak to coffee / espresso - haven’t tried pastries / food.

first time I went they had option for single-origin espresso - and every time since they are ‘out’ and have a mediocre blend of beans as their stock espresso.

First time they were ‘out’ it was mid-afternoon - and then next time I asked - the first barista was confused and other barista had to fetch the beans from under counter to make shot which was lovely.

Next pair of times I went first thing in AM and they had ‘run out’.

That’s too many times when De Mello is nearby or Fahrenheit with options for both a blend and a single-origin. Wish it was consistent to frequent for quality coffee - I think it’s too many failed times now for middle of the road beans in a nice decor that it’s better to grab elsewhere.

First of all, their Cream Top Matcha was bomb ?. One of my new favourite drinks in Toronto.

Secondly, thank you to the staff who opened the door for me on the way in and out when I had my baby, pram and shopping on either arm. It was lovely and so helpful! It was also really nice to be called "super Mum" ?. It just made my day!

Love this vibe! Every item on the menu is a key, but my favorite is the Matcha Coconut. Perfect spot for great coffee and relaxing. Highly recommend!

I have tried lots coffee and I must say this is the worst of them all..
barista lady is rude maybe even racist spoke to my wife rudely not acceptable don’t like to deal with people should not be in the industry

My espresso was horrible and had to ask for glass water twice obviously this is not a coffee place because anyone that knows Coffee is aware that espresso always comes with a small glass of water ..

Also I have never been at a cafe that sells Coffee That don’t have Splenda or some sort of sweetener !! She says rudely only white and brown sugar !!!

Anyhow never again !!

Milky’s is an aesthetically pleasing (to the eyes and tastebuds) addition to Stackt Market!

The clean and calming interior is visually stunning, and makes for a very pleasant dine-in experience. I appreciate immensely that dogs are also welcome inside. The ability to walk through Milky’s to get to the inner part of the market is also well appreciated.

In regards to coffee, the baristas here know what they’re doing. I’ve never had a bad drink. They also have very intriguing and innovative specials. Their cold brew, and variations, are some of my favourites in the city.

My one big complaint is the lack of a consistent gluten free option in regards to treats. There was apparently a gluten free brownie offered, but when I inquired, the barista told me “I think it’s gluten free, I’m not sure, I’d have to check, but I don’t know who I’d contact to be honest.” In 2024, with the abundance of choices available for good gluten free options, it is a deliberate choice to exclude an entire group of potential consumers. In a “modern” establishment like Stackt, as well, it is a bit of a letdown. However, I still go as I consider the coffee good.

Overall, Milky’s is a beautiful café that is a joy to sit in while catching up with a friends (or catching up with your thoughts). It’s a welcome addition to Stackt, and I really find it a serene space!
