I came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and the ambience here is amazing! We ordered a few dishes based on the recommendations from our server and the scallion fried rice was hands down the best and it goes so well with the char siu. Highly recommend!

Had a nice evening with friends, there were four of us. Love the decor, staff were friendly and helpful and food was delicious. Can't take too much spice so read the reviews beforehand and ordered the shrimp toast, stuffed chicken wing, house char Siu, stir fried squid, stir fried rice rolls, supreme fried rice, and XO turnip cake. For dessert steamed cake, and a dessert like the Chinese coconut mochi but with coconut sorbet. I liked everything but my favourites were shrimp toast, char Siu, turnip cake and both desserts.

The food was excellent overall. We had the cucumber salad, wings, 4 foot noodles, general tso chicken and cauliflower for 2 people. We have leftovers. The chicken and cucumber salad paired really well and the cauliflower was exceptional. The four foot noodles were a great texture and flavour. The wings were well done but my least favourite dish. I found the spicy level fine, not overpowering and not very spicy given what I would expect for sichuan food. Good selection of sake and I really enjoyed the umeshu. Our server was knowledgeable but lacked warmth. We sat at the bar and I would not recommend it, as it felt cold. The dining room would have been a better experience. I would go back and try more dishes, particularly should the tasting menu focus on Sichuan or Xian food, and make sure I reserve in the dining room.

10/10! The food, flavours, portions, service and atmosphere/music were incredible. The Mojito was delightful. Lalaland was incredibly spicy which was unusual for a drink but I liked it! We ordered the tasting menu, every dish was described upon arrival and beautifully plated. The flavours were fresh, explosive and interesting. Everything paired very nicely. Highly recommend MIMI!

A 10/10 meal with great service and a warm atmosphere. Would recommend for date night or special occasion - but the dishes are best enjoyed family style. A fresh take on traditional Chinese dishes that are packed with flavour and leave you satisfied. MIMI Chinese definitely lives up to the hype and I look forward to dining here again soon.

I quite like the food at Mimi Chinese. I thought it actually tasted rather authentic and not just like a poorly put together fusion dish. I really like the long noodles, those were very good. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I’ve been here 3 times and the taste wasn’t fully consistent each of the 3 times I’ve been. One time the noodles were way too salty in comparison to the first two times I’ve had it. I also liked the cucumber smack salad. Finally, I really loved the mango pudding at the end, very nicely made!

Went here for a birthday celebration with my wife, and the service here was fantastic. The staff were patient and attentive, but not overbearing. The atmosphere was alright, a little too dim but that’s most upscale restaurants.

However, the food was mediocre at best, and considering the price tag it’s almost an insult. The dishes not being authentic isn’t a big issue, but the food tasting bland certainly is. The attempted “inventiveness” of some dishes also detracts from the flavour - like chrysanthemum in the smacked cucumber salad, what even is that.

1 chef specials + 1 side (noodles/rice) + 1 vegetables feeds perfectly two, and everything it's made to share excluding the appetizers that come in a smaller (but fair) size.

Yusheng Bluefin Tuna (appetizer) melted in my mouth. The texture and flavour were unique. Not spicy.

Steamed Cake (desert) is HUGE and delicious. Also, to share.

If you can't eat shrimps, the options will be limited. You must like spicy - even my drink was spicy.

I am not a big fan of spicy but I recognize the menu is creative and well elaborated.

We had the best dining experience at MIMI! The restaurant itself is beautiful, and you are cared for by friendly and knowledgeable staff every step of the way. Every dish that we ordered was excellent and unique. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, with lots of attention to detail. With the help of our server, we ordered wine and drinks that were also delicious. The quality of food and drink was excellent. Could not say enough good things about our experience. If you'd like a memorable and one of a kind dining experience, we would absolutely reccomend MIMI Chinese.

If you are looking for elevated chinese food this is the most amazing place in Toronto!

The staff were super accommodating and attentive. Angela, our server, checked on us multiple times and made great recommendations for our table. We had an amazing time and we will be coming back 😊
