We had the chefs choice menu with the mixed liquor pairing. We’ve had many tasting menus before. Most of them have been in Toronto and New York. Our experience at MIMI had to have been one of the best value tasting menus we’ve ever had and it was very interesting to drink shaoxing wine . Had such a fun time.
Excellent in every way. Service was especially on point.

Went here for a friends birthday, and the whole experience was divine.
We were seated in a semi- private room, the servers were also wonderful.
Now for the food, I cannot stress enough how good they are at their veg dishes. From the smashed cucumber salad, to the asparagus, and eggplant (this was especially good), we were beyond satisfied.
Other highlights are the fish (just the right amount of spice), the green scallion rice (perfect accompaniment to the fish), the char sui pork.
So long story short, please go, the food will not disappoint.
P.S. The only modification I would make is to the dessert - there was far too much desiccated coconut, where it overpowered the ice cream and mochi. I would love if there was more mochi.

Great food at a reasonable price
The food definitely lived up to the hype. I’ve been wanting to try MIMI for some time and it did not disappoint! Service was also top notch and cocktails and mocktails were tasty (the Lala land in particular was great)
It’s hard to pick stand out dishes but would definitely recommend the shrimp crackers, scallops, and cucumber salad for starters. For our mains, the Hunan chili sea bass was to die for + house char siu and the yu Xiang eggplant are delicious. Truly everything we had was tasty though!
10/10 would definitely recommend!

Fantastic
A bit dark inside. Dishes are authentic presented slightly in a fusion style. A good place for occasions or events (they have tables for large groups).

Mimi Chinese was utterly phenomenal. I chose this restaurant as the location for an important meal. My girlfriend and I have recently moved back into town and have been staying with her parents. While the situation has been relatively smooth, I could tell my antics were wearing thin and I needed a grand gesture to solidify my place in the home. As soon as the shrimp toast hit her father's lips, I knew I was safe until the end of the summer. Hell, the 4 ft Belt Noodle may have bought me till Christmas! Thank you MIMI for keeping a roof over my head.

A fantastic spot for regional Chinese cuisine with a creative twist. The tasting menu is well-curated, offering a great variety of flavors and textures. The cocktails are playful and delicious, especially the pandan cocktail served in an adorable panda glass — a fun highlight! The long noodles are an absolute must-try: silky, flavorful, and perfectly executed. The scallop dish stood out for its freshness and balance, and the desserts were unexpectedly amazing, rounding off the meal with a memorable finish. Highly recommended for a special night out or a unique dining experience.

Our favorites were the General Tao chicken and the Char siu. We were not fans of the belt noodle though this is probably personal preference, didn't expect the sauce to be a tomato base.

Great Chinese restaurant with excellent service and a clean, inviting atmosphere.
The staff helpfully mentioned that some dishes are meant to be served family-style, but we were happy to find that between the two of us, we could enjoy a few options without needing to take anything to go.
We tried the iconic 4ft noodle — definitely a fun and tasty experience! We opted for the spicy version, and even though we don’t usually go for spicy food, it was surprisingly manageable and flavorful.
My personal favourite was the shrimp toast — absolutely delicious. The dessert, however, was a bit of a miss. It was a cheesecake–panna cotta–black sesame fusion that didn’t quite land for us, but we appreciated the gesture, especially the candle they added to help us celebrate both our birthdays.
All in all, a memorable and enjoyable meal. Would definitely come back!
