we went for the winter licious and we ordered the same choices, the beef first option, it was cold and not tasty. The second was sushi platter, it was ok. The desert was ok, I won’t order it again for sure. We were not full or satisfies. When we ordered our Naji’s and sushi’s before it was way better.

This was hands down one of the best dining experiences we've had in Toronto. We visited Minami Restaurant for the Winterlicious menu and were genuinely blown away. The sushi was outstanding, incredibly fresh, beautifully balanced, and far better than many higher-tier tasting menus we've tried elsewhere. We've done several Winterlicious spots over the years and this was easily the standout. Honestly, they could charge more for this menu and it would still be worth it. Absolutely exceptional.

As a vegetarian, I found the options lacking. The flavours were there, but both of us left kinda hungry, even after ordering every vegetarian item on the list.

I heard of Minami during TIFF, apparently the festival guests had been going there, so I decided to check it out. What a great surprise. Firstly, the place is just beautiful, spacious, with wonderful lighting, intimate corners and a terrific atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, and very discreet. The music is just right and the food… amazing. So delicate, so well made. Delicious. A wide menu with good options for vegetarians too. Cocktails are a must, I had a Hanami, which is about the best name for a cocktail I ever came across. I was told by the waiter it meant “flower watching” in Japanese, which was most a propos on this first date I had there. Lovely evening.
