I visited this restaurant recently, and I genuinely don’t understand how it has the positive reviews it does.

To start, the grill options were a major letdown. The AAA Angus cut, which should have been the star of the menu, tasted noticeably old and off. The other meats didn’t fare any better; every option was dry, poorly seasoned, and completely lacking the tenderness you expect from a proper BBQ experience. I’ve tried many BBQ spots in Toronto, and even the most casual ones manage to deliver juicy, flavorful meat. This was nowhere close.

The disappointment didn’t stop at the food. When I asked for my receipt, I was informed—only at that moment—that there was a 2.7% surcharge for paying with a credit card. I’ve worked in the service industry, and I’ve never seen this type of fee pushed onto the customer without any prior notice. To make matters worse, a 15% gratuity was automatically added to the bill, despite the overall experience falling far below basic expectations.

In short, I wouldn’t recommend dining here. Toronto has countless restaurants offering far better food quality, much better value, and significantly higher standards of cleanliness and service.

Good place for halal hotpot ptice is also good

Went with my family to Mix2 Grill and Hotpot in Toronto, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable experience! The restaurant has a warm, cozy vibe and offers unlimited Korean and Japanese hotpot, which made the whole meal fun and interactive. We each got our own individual hotpot and were able to choose our vegetables, meats, and soup bases. Everything comes raw and you cook it right at the table, which adds to the experience. I chose the tom yum soup base, and it was perfectly balanced and full of flavor.

Portions were generous and very filling — definitely great value for the price. The sauce station was another highlight, with tons of options to mix and match so you can create your perfect flavor combo. Since the restaurant is halal, it was ideal for us and made choosing dishes easy.

The place was super busy, but thanks to booking ahead, we were seated right away. Overall, a delicious, satisfying meal and a great spot for families or groups!

Had an awesome experience at Mix2 Grill. The server helped us a lot while ordering and asked us if we wanted the halal options before we even asked about it. Service was great overall. They have a LOT of variety (no joke, to the point where I was so full but there was still some food I didn't get to try) and quick service too. Everything tastes great and they also have a sauce bar and provide seasoning. It's an all you can eat place that provides a fun experience when dining with a group of people (or even alone!).
