I thought this hotel restaurant was a wonderful find. The Mizzen was well laid out, plenty of places to sit, from 2 to many seats. The buffet is the highlight of breakfast. It is pricey but you don't have to choose that option. It does have a lot of great options; fresh fruit, pastries, salmon, freshly made omelets and the list goes on. I decided on the blueberry pancakes. They were delicious! Fresh fruit on top, butter, cream, Canadian syrup,YUM! Coffee was piping hot and great fresh flavor. My server was outstanding! Extremely helpful, offered suggestions and always ready to help. While I did end up paying about the same price as the buffet I thought it was good value for me and about what I pay when going out to a sit down restaurant. I was surprised to read comments from 8+ years ago of folks complaining about the food prices. Pretty sure they had a similar menu as I did that shared the price up front. Please don't complain about the price and leave few stars b/c you didn't like the price. That decision is made by you when you sit down and read the menu. Ok, enough of my rant....

They don't even follow their own menu, I ordered the white egg omelette but they didn't put the fruit with it. Also the latte is the worst latte you can get in Toronto but the most expensive too! Also, the potatoes, although it mentioned they were roasted, don't be fooled, they were fried. ?

Very inconsistent. Sometimes theres a buffet, sometimes not. Too expensive for the very average food quality when there isnt a buffet, although the buffet is nice when it actually happens.

I had the breakfast buffet here for $33 and it was really nice! My only critique is that it's just a bit too expensive for what you're getting. Their buffet has the typical like toast and bagels and pastries and pancakes, as well as some more atypical items like miso soup, salami and smoked salmon, and a great selection of pressed juices. Their staff are super friendly and service is great!

Host Shalini, Chef Charles and James as server went above and beyond each day to make sure we had the best experience possible. As our stay at the Westin Harbour Castle was our first vacation in Toronto, their care and service at Mizzen was so appreciated as we started each of our days with a nice meal and warm greetings. Definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

Review based on a complimentary breakfast buffet coupon due to hotel room mix-up. Mizzen is located in the hotel so it is convenient to eat at as well! For the breakfast buffet, there are lots to choose from which range from a chef's omelette table, cereal bar, miso soup, fruit bar, bakery bar and smoked salmon. There was so much to choose from and lots to eat. Worth the value with the coupon, but not sure if we would have eaten a full price value of it. Food was edible and filling though!Otherwise, on their regular menu, they have entrees that come with fresh fruit and berry bowl or breakfast potatoes. Or the lighter option with parfaits or half portion sizes as well. There are a large side order list and beverages (including fresh juice mixtures) provided as well.Staff members greet you at the door. Do let them know of the buffet coupon as it stays on the table for the server as well. Once you're at the table, the servers will check if you want a beverage but you're good to go to the buffet afterwards. Their servers are very friendly and accommodating and will constantly make sure you're taken care of and filled up on coffee!

Honestly pretty bad…think about it this way. For the same price you could have found a much better Buffet in DT.

Very mediocre breakfast at an extremely high price. Plain drip $6.00/cup. Bottled smoothie $10/each. Guacamole was definitely not freshly prepared. Highly recommend finding a local Sunset Grille, Cora’s, Starbucks, McDonalds or Eggspectation instead of this pathetic restaurant.

Somehow I always feel scammed when I stay at a hotel and have to eat breakfast there (due to the fact that we were on a busy schedule). The food was very good but the prices are ridiculous and I am pretty sure most people not on an expense account would be looking elsewhere for breakfast. $29 breakfast buffet is fine if you are hungry but the a la carte prices are way too much. $19 for 4 small pancakes? The kids ordered bacon and eggs and were told it didn;t include toast.

We went to the Mizzen restaurant for the breakfast buffet while staying at the Westin Harbour Castle. Buffet selection was pretty average and at $29 per person is a little overpriced. The staff however were very friendly and helpful.

The service was excellent. The food was excellent and selection was diverse, although it was pricey at around $30 for a breakfast buffet. I recommend the bread pudding, although my GF differs on that point.

Visited The Mizzen for breakfast while staying at The Westin Harbour Castle in March 2020. They serve breakfast buffet, either continental or full breakfast. You can also order from menu, if you choose to. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Cathy and Alex went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Free breakfast buffet for Marriott Elite members. Highly recommend.

Visited The Mizzen restaurant at The Westin Harbour Castle for breakfast in January 2020. The breakfast buffet has good selections, both continental and full buffet. Service was prompt and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was complimentary for elite members, if free breakfast option is chosen, tips are not included.

Great spot for breakfast. If you are on Queens Quay there are not many options. I love their beet juice and other smoothies. Coffee is fresh and hot.
