I walked passed Modern Wok in one of the PATH's many food courts. There was a huge line up so I figured I'll try on a Friday when the PATH is quieter. I ended up getting a small Beef Brisket with White Rice for under $10. They have different options like 1 protein + base or 2 proteins + base etc. They have food in trays so you can see what they have available and you tell them your order. Somethings cost extra like Beef Brisket for like a dollar more. It's a good option if you're craving Chinese food and don't want to spend too much on lunch. Went with a coworker the other day around 2 when the lunch rush hour was gone and nobody is waiting in-line. I went for a small combo with noodle and 2 sides - sichuan chicken and some sort of fish. The chicken dish was recommended by my coworker and it's indeed good - will order again next time. The fish was decent but not at the same level as the chicken one according to my personal taste. Noodle is also decent - soft but not mushy. A bit salty to my liking. Will go again in the future. Am happy to find a place near metro center with decent Chinese food

It’s my favorite Cantonese fast food in financial district. There used to be a long line from 12 to 1 everyday pre covid. So sad that after covid many dishes are no longer offered. The rest is as delicious as before. Remember to bring cash or debit when you visit.

Affordable Chinese meals available near St. Andrew station. Both the Szechuan chicken and spicy fish with fried rice tasted delicious.Although the egg noodles for the beef brisket noodles were slightly under cooked, the brisket was juicy and delicious with their light broth.

Run-of-the-mill Chinese food, just shy of being average. If you've ever been to Szechuan or any of the other chain restaurants that offer Chinese cuisine, that's basically what you're getting here. I got chicken/rice/noodles/veggies(85% onions, eww) and it didn't taste great. The rice stood out the most, reminded me of how my Haitian father prepared it when I was young. 3 Stars because of the nostalgic rice, otherwise 2. Edible but not worth the price tag (10 bucks). Save your money, there's much better out there.

If you new in Toronto , travelling, or new arrived, just visit, have your big and delicious meal here. It is super close to Union station. On google map, the place is not right, you need to walk one more street and go down under the building. You will see the food cord.Super kind staff they have by far. Explained all food, offered me nice mix of food, and had a perfect one. There is plenty place to sit, bathroom and many other restaurants as well.

***THEY ARE OPEN, in the deserted Underground of the pandemic, please go give them some biz*** Have worked in the financial district for over a decade and been coming here through the years. They are pretty much the only place that serves authentic Cantonese food in the Underground. Is it top notch restaurant quality? No, but it IS great food court quality, and even now in the wasteland that is now the Underground they still have lots of variety daily. Reasonably priced and tasty. Pre-pandemic always long (but fast moving) lunch lines as others have mentioned but it's a ghost town now, they're also not open as late as before (used to be open until 4ish but now they're shut down shortly after 2ish). If you're in the area give them a try, need this place to stay open!

Great authentic many different varieties of Chinese food, it's like buffet style but it's take out & the prices of different combos are very reasonable, also long line up during lunch time, love the Singapore rice noodles because there are so many species & ingredients in it, fully recommended.
