I've been to Modus numerous times for lunch/dinner and recently hosted a dinner for 10 in their private dining room. The food was exceptional. I had the grilled calamari, Atlantic salmon, and chocolate cake, and everything was delicious. Great service in a beautiful space. Highly recommend. Thanks Sam. Will be back!

I don’t normally write reviews, but I just had one of the best dining experiences of my life in Toronto, and I had to share. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming – but what really made the evening special was the service and the food.
Our waiter, Terrin, was absolutely remarkable. I mentioned that I was gluten-free, and without missing a beat, he listed off a variety of options from memory. It wasn’t just that they had gluten-free dishes – it was the way he made me feel completely included and taken care of. Not once did I feel like I was an inconvenience or had to compromise on taste or quality.
The food itself? Incredible. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with care. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, Terrin came back to offer me a special gluten-free dessert, a stunning creation with raspberry and chocolate. It was clearly made with someone like me in mind, and it completely blew me away.
Whether you’re gluten-free, have celiac disease, or simply want a memorable night out, this place is a gem. I’m so grateful for the experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting or living in Toronto.

The only reason I gave four stars to Overall is that I chose Modus because there was a prix fixe advertised in their website which was based on food of the Amalfi Coast. When we got there we found that prix fixe hadn't been available for about four months and hasn't yet been removed from their website. We were somewhat disappointed by this, however our meal was delicious and very enjoyable.

We were greeted with a warm welcome. Lovely table settings with beautiful linens added to the elegant decor. Menu options are very good with reasonable pricing. Our veal and salmon selections were beautifully styled and delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. All in all, a wonderful dining experience.

Had a team dinner with some VIPs and they were extremely pleased with the entire experience. The food was amazing and they accommodated dietary restrictions. The service was extremely attentive and lovely. The team continued to compliment me the following day as they had such a great time at dinner. Would recommend.

Food was overall okay. We were a group and most of us enjoyed our dishes. The seafood pasta special was a bit disappointing imo. Service from the wait staff for our table was not good. We were rushed through the entire dinner. They kept trying to clear plates when people still have food on them. Happened three or four times at different courses.
