It was, unbeknownst to us, the restaurant's last service before a two week break. The consequence was that when we were seated, our excellent waitress told us that there were a number of items on the already short menu that were not available. We then ordered and one of the items I ordered was also not available and our waitress had not been told. We should have been told before we went to the restaurant.
Lush & plush modernly elegant room (in silver greys, black with gold accents and red highlights) with comfortably generous seating. Staff are all outstanding - polished, polite, prompt, attentive and friendly. Dishes are composed of quality ingredients, prepared correctly and nicely plated (calamari appetizer was terrific). Short but competent wine list. Highly recommend and will return!
Lovely setting. The food was excellent. Homemade grilled sausage had just a bit of heat and the veal piccata was delicate and tender. Flourless chocolate cake decadently dense and chocolatey. Appropriately attentive and helpful server. Nice dinner before a performance at Roy Thomson hall.
